StoneJack: It is not bad but bmpcc 6k pro seems to be a better proposition
I have my own youtube channel and i think fx3 is overkill. Sure people can use even most expensive cameras so what. Most of what fx3 can shoot can be shot by nikon z50 or even iphone with similar quality and no reduction in image and i mean 4k. For talking heads anything will do. Its only scenery and landscape or documentary type which may require fx3 and even that is not a must. 8k for yt is also overkill for now as not all tvs even now 4k. Even hollywood films can be shot on iphone and they were. You can shoot an indie movie on gx85 and certainly you can shoot studio vlog on m50 which has very crisp 1080p which is adequate for most vlogs
RazorSharpWO: QUOTE: "The only large Stacked CMOS sensors we've seen so far come from Sony Semiconductor, making it the most likely source for this one."
I'm pretty sure Nikon executives directly said they designed their own 'revolutionary' sensor, revealed for the first time in the upcoming Z9, and also that it is being built in Tower Jazz foundries. I have not read the exact specs though, which may still be in development.
Battle of new accounts lol
silentstorm: The hands-on didn't show pic of the front ports for the XLR-K3M. I have to searched B&H for product images to see where is the 3.5mm jack and those 1/4" plugs.
So how do you do stereo recordings? Is there a stereo mic that will fit on this XLR grip?
Also not mentioned is the recording quality, how many bits and sampling available? Can this do 24/48 Linear-PCM like broadcast standards?
I don't think one should use camera preamps for sound, unless really budget limited, in which case FX3 itself is not a best solution *but GH may be. I'd prefer a separate sound recorder and boom or wireless lav or anything else to camera+mic solution, which is guaranteed to be bad

I don't think that IBIS is deciding factor for film making. In film making, IBIS is not used. You use either gimbals (or older mechanical stabilizers), use gibs, sliders to get the dynamic shot. So lack of IBIS in BMPCC doesn't really matter. AF is important though, although not that much because ideally you have someone to make manual focusing using rings. So it is down to files and post processing, and BMPCC with 6k clearly better. Notice I am talking about film making specifically. For documentaries and music videos FX is adequate and is overkill for vlogging on youtube

I think it is waste of money to do Youtube videos with anything like FX3, even iPhone and A6400/m50/z50 are very much enough. For filming documentaries and music videos, FX3 might be better. For actual indie filming, BMPCC is a must. It is also Netflix approved

I had Practica film camera from DDR or East Germany as a kid. Used it until college student :) with Agfa color films
Every time I think of buying a drone, DJI releases a new one. And I have to wait until the next time :)
That music and voice over are horrible.
Will I upgrade if Nikon updated my Z6 with new LCD?
Umm, Nikon added 2 processors, two card slots, latest USB-C and and did not raise initial price for Z6II. But still Z6 is so good that I am happy with the original model. Still, thats what I call upgrade.
StoneJack: Now que for people who will buy Sony cameras and return them if they don't find the updated LCD on the back. Hilarious.
Love DPR :)

Oh I see you are in good mood. Wonder what makes Sony shills smile - maybe a new LCD on a back of old camera :) small thing but so nice - now u can sell your old Sony and buy new same Sony but with another LCD and your pictures will improve drastically :)
Gerald Undone from Youtube:
Sony cameras have 10 times more dynamic range than all Samsung phones together.

I think Sennheiser wanted to sell its consumer division. Too bad as I always had Sennheiser headphones (well except monitor ones).
Give me the DJI, two bikini clad models and vacation in Hawaii and I will shoot you ANY video you want :)
Sony users should be glad that price of cameras didn't increase by 10%. After all, this is the major new feature :)
StoneJack: pinnacle of innovations in mirrorless, bravo Sony! It seems like that they have a glut of of inventories of older models which are 1. unsellable 2. make newer models sell bad as well.
The pinnacle of innovations in ML made a wise decision: change LCD in older models.
Well, Mike, if the older models don't sell but you have mountains of them in shops, what you do? Exactly, change the LCD. It is THE innovation.
