My two cents worth after using this lens for a few weeks is that technique and narrow depth of field at f1.2 contribute more to perceived softness than lack of inherent lens sharpness. Still, I ...

DxO Photolab with Viewpoint does a nice job. I find that, in many cases, 50% correction gives a nice look that preserves width while making it less obvious the image was taken with a fisheye lens.

Thank you for this interesting post. It is nice to see nature triumph. The remote mood of the captures reminded me of The Return, a very powerful film by Zvyagintsev. It could have been shot at ...

Hi Tom Lusk, I don't have the 15 mm, but I have the 8-15 mm fisheye. Just checked it unmounted. The scale moves when I move the focus ring.

Sharpness is a matter of opinion and perception. To my eyes this lens is impressively sharp for use as a portrait lens. Take a look at the cat photos from this thread. https://www.dpreview.com/fo ...

John Crowe, I thought I noticed that myself, but was not too sure (recovering from vitrectomy, I thought the root cause might have been vision impairment feeding back on focusing technique). In ...

There are some very good user reviews here at Dpreview that show what this lens is capable of. I especially like the review by Marco Nero, with pictures. Hopefully we can post some great ...

Bowner78, I have also recently obtained this lens, and I'm really happy with it. The below shots were taken after dark, iso 3200, at f1.4 and f1.2 respectively. The f1.2 capture looks like ...

Photography becomes magic when the story is as good as the capture. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks dmartin91 and BobRocke. Curiosity got the better of me, so I upgraded to PL7 rather than wait for black Friday. I have been playing around with it for a couple of hours. Things I like ...

I would be very interested to read of user experiences with PL7. I'm interested in first hand anecdotal observations from first adapters, things you like and dislike, etc. It would be great ...
