  • Well mine has also been relegated to "guinea pig" after being replaced by my 14 inch Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga X1 with better specs.
  • You might want to do some homework here. It is common knowledge programs perform faster on SSD disks than HDD systems with the same hardware.
  • Glad to hear the update finally got installed. Each machine bring it's own set of issues, so noting is really cut and dry where updates/upgrades may be concerned. Peace:)
  • This is mine - Asus Zenbook Prime(UX31A) Ultrabook . A 13 inch Ultrabook stock with a 256gig SSD, 4gig of RAM, and an i7 processor. A matt screen with a res of 1920 x 1080.
  • Yeah, an actual error code would have been more helpful. That said, I'm sure there was something dumped in a text file somewhere, but a clean install was quicker than having to find and diagnosing it.
  • I would simply get a message saying "Windows 10 installation has failed" See my 2015 post here on Windows 10 Threshold 2 . Here's my 2017 post for the Fall Creator issue. Again, the same message ...

  • When you make such wild uninformed comments replies tend to sound belittling. It's one thing to state an opinion, it's wholly another to state one without merit.
  • This is now the hater's flag bearing line.... Auto Updates! Kind of like that "fake news" thing.
  • LOL.... What third party security solutions are those??? Anti-virus's will only go so far. And, now you're hoping a third party company will come along and protect an OS, Microsoft themselves will ...
  • Huh? You claim to have the items, yet only comment on what you've read about them??? Then.... Was hoping to hear about "your" personal user experience, but instead we get "here's the spec sheet ...
  • As usual, info only; not an endorsement. BUT, for what it's worth I've found "their" measurements aren't that different from other "outside sources". YMMV I do however, agree, when measuring your ...

How was upgrading to CC a pain? If you already had an adobe account is would have been simple. If not, creating an Adobe account and downloading the software should be easy.  Sorry, but I can't see ...
  • Unless one has a pirated copy there's no reason to block LR from checking for updates or authentication checks. I don't block any as I've no reason to.
