I'm really interested in this lens. But the fact that it's a prime, limits it's use quite a lot.

On article DPReview Asks: What was your first camera? (766 comments in total)

I went big from the start - a Nikon D50. My interest was sparked with a borrowed Fuji S2000 or something. Can't really remember the correct model.

Neat! I have Surface Pro 4 with Core i7 and 16GB memory. It runs PS and Lightroom pretty decently, and this is like a giant one. The pen is awesome on it and should be equally good on this device. Someone said the hand would tire from hovering over the screen - you don't have to. You can rest your hand on the screen like on a piece of paper, and very little smudging occurs.
Sure, it has a glossy screen, but so does MacBooks and iMacs too. No one whines about that for some reason.

Niklas Ramstedt: These are awesome. I used to be baffled by the results I could get from my D700. I'm even impressed by the shots I can get with my D800. These are something else though.

I'd even dare to say that 64.000 with the D5 looks like 6400 on the D800 in some cases.

Why do you guys whine? It's not like we are Nikons target market for this camera. It's intended to be a tool - not something used by a tool.

Am I the only one here who likes LR and PS CC and is prepared to pay for software?

matthew saville: It closes / crashes the split second I open. I see the splash screen for literally miliseconds and then it goes away. Hmm. Have tried un-installing LR5, un-installing and re-installing LR CC, ...we'll see how the night progresses...

Unfortunately, this is par for the course for Adobe. Grrrr...

Guess I didn't use simple search words then... And who other is to blame than Adobe? They made the client and software. A problem like this should not be hard to solve or even to acknowledge during the install process. "Please log out of and in again on the CC client to complete the installation."

It's funny how featured shooters always get their work torn to bits here by internet warriors sitting at home polishing their gear instead of producing pictures.

Finally a sample gallery that looks like a photographer is behind it and not just some random snapshots. Great job!
