Classic beauty! Stupendous image!

I have an S10e and found to get good pictures I had to turn off the beauty filter which was on by default. It obliterates detail. I also find that nearly all the time the camera overexposes and I have to use the exposure compensation slider which comes up when you long press over your focus point. A good deal of the time, even though I have small fingers I wind up moving the capture mode. The screen seems to be too sensitive. I also find that when moving that compensation slider if I hold the phone in portrait mode the capture mode is less apt to change.

As I've noted with previous phone cameras the images are often oversharpened. Shooting in Pro mode is too fiddly and time consuming to bother with. The Pro mode needs an easier and less crowded interface.

entoman: Such a shame that corners were cut by using the aged and dreadful 2.36MP LCD in the EVF, when it would surely have been easy to put in a 3.6MP or higher OLED unit. This is a big enough omission to prevent me from buying an EM1 Mkii or Mkiii. And considering the hefty (for M43) asking price, it's a major mistake by Olympus.

This company makes otherwise excellent cameras, highly durable, comfortable to hold and operate (although the menus and GUI are overdue for an overhaul). And the lenses are superb.

But how long will we have to wait for a decent usable EVF? I'd guess another 3-4 years at least for the Mkiv. So, sorry Olympus, I won't be buying this.

The Sony A7iii has an AWFUL EVF. Shimmering in leaves, roof shingles in its standard setting. The Sony RX10iv has a way better viewfinder. The A7iii viewfinder has a higher quality setting but that uses more battery power.

A good EVF is critical for my needs since I have compromised eyesight. Looking very seriously at the G9 for what has been described as the best micro43 EVF.

I honestly don't see anything exceptional about these images - I believe I can do just as well with my Olympus em10 ii and a bit of post processing.
