Even Canon has used Sony sensors in some cameras.

I had the same problem. It turns out there was a spring behind the hardware on the battery door had come out of place. I fixed it my self. I came to the conclusion by half closing the battery door ...

The IBIS was actually fairly good in the 7D. KM had 6MP in their SLR's (but smaller cameras had more). I have seen 24x36 posters made from 6MP cameras, and they are fine. I would like to ask, when...

The original Minolta financial woes started with patent suits pertaining to infringing on Honeywell's (Pentax) AF system. Also, Minolta invested in the APS system. This lead to them being purchased...

Because the development of remotes for current cameras is a money making endeavor, and worth the effort. Specifically, with Canon, there was a major shift in protocols, and they are not easily ...

Software development is not free. There was a major change between the 580EX and the 580EXII. The EXII is at least 15 years old, making the newest EX's at least that old. Going through the process ...

You may be limited electronically, even if the capacitors were able to maintain the charge long enough. Also, if you started with full capacitors, and you wished to use 1/5 of the energy each time, ...

For all of those guffawing over the "thousands of dollars" of gear hanging on this contraption, I doubt they are referring to camera gear, or delicate electronics. Rather, it appears they are...

At f/11, model lamps would not likely contribute, either way. However, having the model lamps dim when the flash is fired is not a sure fire way to keep them from contributing (let's say at ...

Not an expert, but I would assume the AF sensors are not bound by the exposure settings of the camera, even if they are on sensor AF sensors. It does not take much to render a captured image pure ...

You have said nothing about the Wattage of the inverter. Loosely calculated, your light would require 400W average to charge at 2 seconds to 800Ws. However, many lights have a peak current that is ...

Your assumption is correct. Also, Neil Van Niekerk does quite well with "on camera flash" techniques!

Thanks for sharing. I don't have an iPhone, and do not see an Android equivalent app. However, I do find this video fascinating and well done. Thanks for sharing!

The above the square foot, in the groove where the hotshoe edge would go, there is a metal contact on one side, if not both. Cable is the least delayed option. Radio will introduce delays, ...

Quick question. For those aghast that SONY has discontinued the A-Mount, how much longer do you feel they should be producing A-mount equipment?

yes. But Honeywell had the patent on autofocus, which Minolta released. Honeywell sued Minolta (and I believe others) for patent infringement on AF technology.
