I have both and I would say that I get approx. 25% more sharp BIF images with the Mark II

Yesterday we got about 15 cm more new snow, so here's a couple more GGO images, but not for the pixel peepers.

I don't create pictures with Ai, but only with my cameras. Here is one of the originals - ORF: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/rvmrc3xltitlsuxbfy2ga/_3142436.orf?rlkey=cpxmt1qz0au7c287uf9x76qf9&dl=0

Just one is absolute my favorite and I don't need others at all! 150 -400 mm f4.5. Amen! My LR catalog contains 23,434 images from Year 2023, of which 94 were taken with 12-100 mm, 386 with 40-150 ...

Thanks for the compliments, but I feel that the new Mark II makes a more toned, sharper and better picture than the original OM-1 in every way.

Hi All Today I found an great grey owl near my home (Kouvola), but unfortunately it was very late afternoon and it was almost dark. This is very common as owls start prey in the twilight. That's ...

I also tried with old batteries and the same Grip heats up and double the energy consumption as with new batteries. The new batteries have already been charged approx. 10 times, so the "problem" ...

The entire Mark 2 grip feels warm to the hand in -5 C frost and I don't need any glove on my right hand at all like with the OM1.
-
The same ole batteries still work great in the OM-1 and the new batteries also work 1/2 the time in the Mark 2 than in OM-1.
-
Yes it is! I use a lot of TC 1.25 and then the focus stays better even for still subjects than with the OM-1, especially with TC 1,25x, it pumped up and the images became a slight out of focus. I ...

Hi there.. There is a very rare event in the world scales in the Kymijoki River as the Goosanders (Mergus merganser) have learned to fish the European River Lampreys. Regards Lauri

Hi All Finally a sunny bright day after two weeks of gloomy weather. The focus of the new camera is great and it is as big a leap forward as was the transition from the EM1X to OM-1. Best Regards Lauri

I've been retired for 8 years now and I'm out a lot and do winter swimming in lakes almost every day. If the weather is good I also go to photographing birds or mammals every day. This is how that ...

Hi All I got the camera a week ago, but there has been such bad weather here so I've just swim and went to the sauna every day. Focusing feels clearly better than its predecessor, but as long as ...

Why are people so stupid that dozens of similar dark whistles in the same focal area? Now we already have at least these optics of which none are the fixed F2.8 required by the profession? Choose ...

Wonderful how fast Adobe brought the support for OM-1 Mark II. Only yesterday I got the camera and at last night came up with an updated Lightroom CC 2024. :-) However, this image with the Stone ...

Hi All I got a new Mark II today. The order went to Germany a week ago and today UPS brought it to my home door. I wish I had it 2 weeks ago because I was guiding Nick Wildcock-Brown from UK ...

You have enough good options, but for us who want a fixed F2.8 there is no change. Buy this: http://www.photobyrichard.com/reviewbyrichard/panasonic-leica-dg-vario-elmarit-50-200mm-f-2-8-4-0-asph ...

I also had a Sigma 150 F2.8 Macro HSM. It was great and the background bokeh was pretty. I will never buy optics again what is darker than F2.8, because I also had that damn dark bigma. (50-500)
