Hi.. No otter today. ;-) Both photos taken by handheld without any prop up. I like the picture what was taken at long exposures and in my 32" 4K-monitor the sharpness of this two images is also ...

I have the same settings, but the otter was only visible for 35 images time in 9 fps. So I only have time to shoot one series. By the time I raised my eyes from the viewfinder the otter had ...

Hi All I went to the well-known river again today to photograph the dippers when suddenly an otter climbed out of the water with fish to eat it on the ice floe. The situation only took less than 10 ...

I think that 300 mm with 2x converter makes almost as good quality from a short shooting distance as 150-400 x1,25 from the middle distance. But both combinations are very sensitive to air ripple ...

The fact is that with too short a shutter speed, the water will look silly. 1/2 sec -2 sec. is ideal 1/30 is far too short.

My outdoor images in winters is often destroyed by frost vapor covering the lenses which comes with breathing or rises from a cold river. Never ever from diffraction or other types of pixel peeping.

Diffraction is the least problem with winter photography as well as a teleconverter, as snow, ice and steam even prevent seeing through the viewfinder. Needless to recommend any shelters as they ...

Images are crisp sharp but this platform destroys all the details, I mentioned it before. Same images here in 3840 px size: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2us5hmp7b2qbhud/Kara-iso.jpg?dl=0
