  • Really like that first image Alex. Well composed.
  • This model is certainly photogenic and better still, looks like he never refuses to perform.  :-)
  • Thanks Ken, a few pints of Guinness always makes the world seem a better place. :-) Doesn't necessarily guarantee good images though,as per my example. :-|
  • Muchísimas gracias, mi amigo. Thanks Vidau.
  • Created photo thread Reserved For Musicians
This one was taken in a social club/bar last summer that myself and wife sometimes go to for a late evening drink or three. Posted images from this place previously. The musicians weren't so many ...
  • Replied in Motorcycles
Interesting series on some classic and vintage motorcycles; in particular, I like the last three images. BTW, would you know was there any distant connection between Merkel motorcycles and Harley ...
  • I couldn't but help smiling when I saw this image, Vidau. It comes across humorous the position of the (wooden?) cockerel eyeing up the spider in his web. Clever composition. I don't quite get the ...
  • Replied in One Light
First impressions, it looks a good portrait with the side lighting... However, for me, the whites of eyes do seem excessively white and give a slightly unnatural look as in like the lustre of a ...
  • As usual, great to see you posting such images and also keeping us involved in what's happening in the real world as opposed to 'Fake News'. :-) Keep up the good work Max and keep posting whenever ...
  • I agree with Ken in that the colour version of the image is superior. The B&W version, for me, is somewhat insipid and flat although the composition itself is reasonably good. When  I first saw the ...
  • Replied in Row of trees
Nice composition to this image. The lead in of the trees works well, a small reservation I have is that I'd like to see  a darkening at the end of the trees to add a little mysterious context. The ...
  • Replied in Clean
Thanks very much Joe . Might try revisiting  this place again sometime to see if I could something a bit better. Regards.
  • Replied in Clean
Fair point Vidau. I was trying to include the door to the left and window originally and then the girl  showed up at the counter to the right so tried to include her too.  Was at the widest setting ...
  • I like the graphic aspect of this one, looks like the light was harsh on the day. The placement of the two silhouetted women works well in the composition. A small niggle for me: I wish there were ...
  • Very good image; looks like she is summoning the light to herself. Great composition. Did you capture this in some festival in Baltimore or somewhere in Africa? Regards.
  • Looks a very rewarding location with the lone tree in the distance, up the valley. On my monitor it all looks very dark with the exception of the area surrounding the tree but maybe that was your ...

    Thanks for commenting, John.
  • Replied in Clean
Thanks for the comments, Ken. Was thinking might go back here again maybe with a different camera and polariser in order to cut out the reflections in the shop window. Not sure if it 'd be worth it ...
  • Replied in Beachface
I like that his eyes are reasonably sharp. Everything else is going soft (about his face) but that's to be expected at 1.4 and probably how you planned it. I like the image. Regards.
  • Created photo thread Clean
Another image taken with my recently acquired little RX100 M3. Was walking by this shop and thought it looked interesting and had to wait a while to grab a shot (many people were passing by).
