Thanks to all for the excellent responses! Between resent of a company that has lost its way in trying to appeal to the wealthy noobs and admiration for the craftsmanship, and between seeing the ...

It’s a bug in the latest firmware. Leica told me a patch will be released soon (no specific date)

So, here I am - coming from a closet full of cameras and lenses, Sony, Fuji, Olympus and other bits and pieces, to a relatively tiny kit consisting of an M11, and SL2S, and two lenses for each. It ...

Edit: I have, since this morning. Thanks to a very healthy 2nd hand market I’m even able to add one more lens than I’ve budgeted for :)

For what it’s worth, I have the 35 summilux, really enjoy it, and am about to add the 50. With these lenses I am looking for more than just sharpness and don’t mind the absence of clinical ...

So, I’ve tested the 90-280 and I have just two words for it: jawdroppingly awesome. Fast enough for my purposes as well. I’ve put up my entire Z9 kit for sale, which hopefully goes some way to ...

Perhaps someone else is better placed to help you - I've never done video and honestly wouldn't know where to start!

update: Leica confirmed this issue will be addressed in a forthcoming patch.

A question for those who also have the Leica apo-summicron-sl 35mm f/2 lens: on the SL2s, I'm finding the lens to stop down quite slowly, i.e. the iris is taking its time. As the camera focuses ...

Luigi's straps and cases are fantastic. I have various wrist straps as well as a full leather case for the M, from him. And not a dime is wasted on marketing!

Adds the option of assigning a button to centralise the focus point! But it does not yet remember the last chosen focus point at start-up. That's for version 3.1.

Thank you for sharing your experience!

Excellent use of the 90-280. How did the lens behave on the SL2s? Is the AF snappy enough for wildlife use, in single shot mode? I am on the fence to get the lens, but having just returned from a ...

An SL2-like camera in a rangefinder body, or a Q2 with M-mount, doesn't seem to much of a pipe dream. I'm not terribly interested but with their fondness for heritage I'm sure that Leica will keep ...

I've briefly tried the 15 and 17 Shapeshifters in the store, and they seem very well made but very specialised? I imagine they're ideal for studio use or dedicated sessions; less so for bringing a ...

Quick feedback: - Decided to bring the 100-400 and the 24-70 2.8, which together served well. The main island, Sao Miguel, is quite photogenic but also densely developed to the point where I never ...
