feeling (still) somewhat uneasy about the € 299, i must say the GV-3 is not only tiny (which is an asset), but also very good optically. and an EVF would not be an alternative - the whole idea, ...

and last but not least, i think i have solved the scratching problem with duct tape (of the narrowest, thinnest variety) : i fixed a short strip loosely on a clean flat surface, and cut off with a ...

thank you, andrew. i have ordered the GV-3 for indeed a lot of money, but the voigtländer 40 mm has become an equally expensive rarity, and of the sigma vf-21 (also for 40mm eq.) i could only find ...

from what i’ve read, it is made from plastic (unlike the magnesium body of the GR’s), but the plastic is rough, not flat. still waiting to hear from a bespectacled photographer who owns one !

yes, i was thinking along those lines as well. or maybe i should try and find an old sigma VF-21 viewfinder originally meant for the also 40mm eq. sigma dp2, of which the plastic rim is at least ...

of course it can ! and with numberless other camera’s as well. come to think of it, wouldn’t it be very strange, awful even, if one would have to put down € 10.000-plus (body+lens) to make such a ...

Thank you, Tomm. Not surprisingly, with nonAF lenses (M or otherwise - in this regard they function all alike) you can see the depth of field that corresponds with the aperture chosen, as the ...
-
LCT, thank you. Nothing wrong indeed with the focus of your fine macro insect shot ! Sofar my first question remains unanswered (preview of depth of field with an auto (TL etc.) lens on a CL. On my ...

I tried in both modes (and tried again to make sure…) - no difference. (As an aside, with M lenses this problem of course doesn’t occur, as they’re always closed down to the chosen setting ...

Not being a ‘wiide open shooter’ most of the time, I would like to be able to preview the effect of the aperture I have chosen. While I do get a preview of over- or underexposure as the case may ...
