I suggest you dpr to return to the old system score which is
Highly recommended

The new trend is misleading.

Calvin Chann: Don't know why existing Pentax owners are the main target. It's not as if they have a lot of full frame lenses to use coming from crop sensor DSLR's.

I see this more as being a new DSLR aimed at any previously brand loyal photographer.

What Pentax need to do is to ramp up FF lens launches.

dfa 15-30
dfa24-70
dfa28-105
dfa*70-200
dfa150-450

Dfa 150-450
....
Fa 31
Fa 43
Fa77
Dfa 50
Dfa 100
Fa 35

All those lenses are ff and capable of matching the k1 sensor.

Apart from the IQ which is many talks about i have to say the design of this camera is amazing. the camera is handling very well and comfortable. though it is heavier than k3ii but it feels small and will ballanced . this camera is nearer to 645z than k3.
k1 is premium and first class when talking about the body and the design.
may i mention only one complant: the 2 bottons up the left sid are small and some times i press both together!!!!

I got mine today. A MF like. Thanks Ricoh you give us what you promised.

Link | Posted on May 9, 2016 at 18:22 UTC as 74th comment

it seems k1 is an over enginnered machine needs some patian and a clever hands to get its huge ouputs .
Ricoh have to make lenses such as dfa*70-200 to match this machine.
i like the faltds but i think these lenses are outdated now.
new lenses are must need now than later!

I wish dpr stuff use another lens. It seems fa 77 has issues because I have this lens and it gives me soft pictures even when compared to a zoom lens like the Sigma 17-50.
I will ask again for using one lens for all testing work It is sigma 70mm macro..no bias ..no complaints!!

Link | Posted on May 6, 2016 at 10:55 UTC as 73rd comment | 1 reply

Why not using the sigma 70 mm macro and make the standard lens for all testing work since it is available for all.

Since Sony has entered dslrs market the price has been decreased.
You can compare prices now with the prices of first canon dslr 20 d as I remember..

D7200 is my best choice now at nearly half of the price.
