DPR
Why you are trying push people to this camera.
Why the head line is considering Canon only..then after 2 sentences you mention nikon.
If i were Canon i should object to this article.

DPPMetro: PS- I guess these will be the replacement for the K-1.

I think you speak to yourself.

DPPMetro: It's funny that the new FW update doesn't address the finding that has now been confirmed that in AFc and focus priority, the K-1 will release the shutter before focus is acquired, basically ignoring focus priority and making it a shutter priority camera in continuous shooting.

Then, ludicrously, the mods again locked this thread. Seriously, mako has some serious credibility issues, but luckily, I saved the thread. The mods are really doing a nice job on the pentax forum of making the company look better than it is. Try to discuss anything constructive-critical of Pentax, like finally identifying a significant AF issue that could be fixed in FW and the Mako has been deleting numerous posts and now locked the thread about the K-1's massive AF flaw.

Why don't buy another system and save your time and money.life is short.Ricoh will not listen to the haters of their products.

Congratulations to Sony.
Since Sony comes to dslr market they made big jumps of the sector.
Their sensors make photography more pleasant.

tassosDA: Ok this statement is in the right direction! Now what we need, besides statements, are release dates for: 50mm F1.4, 85mm F1.4, K3II successor and what they have in mind for the wide angle lenses! This is the only thing that will convince me that everything is alright in Ricoh-Pentax land...

Agree

DPPMetro: That pdf document about the restructuring is rough and doesn't seem to have any space in it for Pentax.

From pentax forum to pentax forums of Adam you eagerly waiting the disappearance of Pentax but this Will not happen.

Pentax please keep this design for the awaiting flagship APS-C.
K7 k3 series are good but not attractive enough.

It seems the silver award is reserved for pentax until Ricoh comes with new AF system.
Since k5 no gold. 😃

Dave C 150: I love my K3 and have decided to keep it. But as a mainly wildlife/bird photography I have been forced to go down the Nikon D7200 route both for its AF capabilities and the availability of the excellent Sigma and Tamron 150-600mm lenses. I'm afraid it appears the AF tracking incapabilities remain and I can vouch for the superiority of the Nikon compared to the K3. Until there is a completely new AF system Pentax will never compete with Nikon and Canon in the sports/wildlife arena which is massive.

Sport is one kind of photography category. And it has limited interest for many.

Sad news. second electronics company to leave the cameras market after Samsung. I think the market will push Olympus and to a similar situation.
