The gallery is very nice. Rendering colors and sharpness are very good. Though the night shots are noisy and detailess.

drummercam: DPR has lots of responsibilities and, very definitely, massive expertise. IT'S A GREAT WEBSITE! I teach photography and recommend that the students go here first. THANK YOU, DPR! SINCERELY!

But curiously, it's only Pentax that generates this kind of dust-up. I have here said before that there seems to be a downplay bias in the syntax or language ("Special K"?). I do notice people mentioning reviews of other cameras they felt were off. All us fanboys have an ax to grind, don't we.

Still, . . .

Maybe it is better to reccomend "dps "to your students not "dpr".

NCB: The K1 and K1 II have their own strengths, which will appeal to some photographers. At this level it's maybe a mistake to "recommend" one camera over another. The photographers who might buy a K1 probably know what they're doing. Just say what the camera does well and what it doesn't, and leave the rest to the photographer.

Well said

", the a7 III absolutely smokes the K-1 II, with far superior AF reliability and coverage, a faster burst rate and better battery life "
Why the insistence on comparing DSLR to mirrorless?
Apple to Apple and orange to orange !
This is what I learned here!

"And while both cameras offer exceptional build quality and great weather-sealing, the Nikon d750 is 3/4's the weight of the Pentax."
I have both cameras. Do you really think the build quality of d750 is exceptional like k1ii?!
Can't tell more!

Ok
Re shoot but not Re written.
Still the same negative words regarding baked raw and DPS which is an extra feature that must be in pros category.
You know as I know everyone is backing their raw.

With respect to dpr staff I would like to mention that pentax is not the only company baking raw files.

Beautiful work. Talented team. I love the 10minut film and still pics. Pro work. Yes it is not the camera it is person behind it.

Is this a title or a commercial ad?. Pentax K70 why not treat it like Fuji! It is at the same price has IS and The only camera at this level has a pentaprism VF.
Though I love fujifilm and I have 2 cameras xt1 xe2s with five lenses.

@Nomorheros.
No please just the concept not the design.
Remove the mirr box and the mechanical parts. I think it is more suitable to Canon mount because of its flange distance.

The safe way for both Canon and Nikon is to copying the pentax k01 concept. At this they can sell their traditional lenses .

I think the future will be for Midiam Format .
cell phones eating P&S cameras and may be the 1 inch sensor. Storage cards now are cheap and can store tera bite and more. APS C will be the best choice for wildlife but wildlife is a one sector of the photography category. Fullfram and medium format are more cheap than before.
To keep their stable of lenses Canon and Nikon better way is to build a new MF mirrorless system that can't eat their traditional market.

Considering the AF is it the lens or the camera.
How can one determine whether it was the lens or the camera from a gallery.
BTW..I see some softness at 40% of the pics.

Pentax is not a stingy company to its customers.
It gives a camera with a package of features that hardly any dslr makers do. The flagship k1 like the entry-level k70.

This head line is to focus on d850. Not to focus on the Nikon financial year.
