  • Replied in I disagree
Why do you think that? I have to disagree. I own both a Panasonic G9 and an Olympus E-M5III. More or less the same sensor, pretty much the same image quality. Olympus bodies do not create more ...
  • It's a good deal, yes. However, personally I would recommend the Panasonic 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II. I had the Oly 75-300 before... then got the Pany 100-300 II because I wanted dual IS for my G85 I ...
  • It's both sides... even though the left seems a bit worse. But the 12-40 is definitelly also much better on the right side at 12mm than the 12-45... But I will do some more tests.
  • Sure, no worries. But if you find time in the next few days, it would be great. I think shots at 12mm f5.6 from both lenses would be enough for me to compare. If you got the time. Otherwise, no ...
  • I will definitelly do some more testing. To some degree, I already did. With similar results. It's 99.9% sure not a focusing issue. But I will do some more test. Do you have both the 12-40 f2.8 and ...
  • Thouse are some really lovely images, well done! I like them a lot. Good compositions, very nice use of the light. And also nice colors. What "filter" or filmemulation did you use? It suits the ...
  • It looks like it's getting better with longer focal ranges. At 18mm, they are much closer. At 40mm, quite equal. Wideangle however, worls appart.
  • Created discussion thread Is my 12-45 Pro a "lemon"?
Hello everybody Yesterday, I got my 12-45 f4 PRO. I like it's size and weight and wanted it to be a replacement for my 12-40 f2.8, since I usually go hiking with the lens and rarely need it at ...
  • Thank you. Sounds good... But where can I find the "starlight AF mode"? Sorry... might by a silly question... my interface of my cam is in German. Do you maybe have a photo where in the menu to ...
  • Yeah I'm looking forward to it too. The guy in the interview probably just did not want to be held responsible if it does not come out. He is probably not allowed to say anything more then ...
  • Created discussion thread focusing on stars with the G9: How to?
Hello everybody I own a G9 and an E-M5 III. The question is: How can I to manual focusing on stars with the G9? The E-M5 (and other OM-Ds) has a mode where the pitch black sky gets a good "bright" ...
  • Just to make it clear for everybody who does not understand German: He says the 100-400 IS (non-pro) COULD / MIGHT come out in summer. That's all he says... ;)
  • Thank you, much appreciated :))
  • Thank you very much Mark, much appreciated :)
  • Thank you :)) To create a calm and relaxing experience was my intention :)
  • Sure, do some test. I compared mine to my 12-40 2.8 from Olympus. While the Oly was pretty fine across the frame, the Panny really disappointed in the lower third of the image. Pretty much at all ...
  • I had the 12-60 Panna Leica for a few days. It showed the same behavior like yours. Or at least similar. About the lowest third of the image was blurry. Always. I returned it.
  • Ahaha yeah technically it's fog but I agree, if you are beneath it, you might just call it clouds. Thanks for the compliment by the way :))
  • Created discussion thread timelapse: sea of fog (V2)
Hello everybody In the end of 2018 I created a timelapse video called sea of fog. I was quite happy with it... but some shots where a little long and too similar. Now, in this current winter, I was ...
  • I like the switch to plastic body.
    Who cares?
It's lighter than Magnesium. That's a pro, not a con for me.
Also, in cold conditions, plastic bodies don't get as cold as magnesium bodies.
    In winter,...
