AcerAntec: Nice idea for a challenge, thanks Alex 236!
Depending on the number of entries--if large enough: would you consider another Modeling challenge under focus stacking requirement?
I'm longing to see some nice, full-in-focus realistic renditions!
(Too bad all of my models are still concealed in their boxes.)

I will

Apparently you got the first place by cheating. I got a commplaint that you have multiple accounts. As result I decided to disqualify your image and to ban you from my challenges. Your behavior is a shame for your country (which by the way happens to be mine too).

Alexis: Would the photo have to be taken from an air plane or would other "aerial" devices be OK like a glider, parachute etc...

Any aircraft in flight would be ok.

PaulChapman: Since when have gliders had engines?

Motorgliders do have engines and are accepted in the challenge. Some gliders have auxiliary engines (piston, jet, electrical). There is already a DG 808 motorglider in the challenge.

Ron Somerville: I like 4th place photo, but the rules say basic pp.

His description clearly reads: " Removed background replaced with black sky, ..."

Hmmm.

I didn't noticed it - although I don't like to disqualify entries during or after the voting phase, now is gone.

Turbo Hampster: My pic was disqualified for being a later mk Spit than what they had in the B.O.B as it had a four blade prop. Which is fair enough...

But how come there are 3 other pics in here that also feature later spits with 4 bladed props that weren't disqualified.
Seems a bit unfair?

All the pics that didn't comply with the rules were disqualified (23 in total) - if you see any other left please let me know.

KambizSh: Does the picture have to be from within the aircraft, or just being above the clouds would be sufficient? I have a picture taken at the top of a mountain with clouds below. Would that qualify? Thx.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but this challenge is only for aviation lovers - the picture must be taken only from an aircraft in flight.

Coolhandchuck: Wow, do we have to be that technical? If so, there might not be entrants in this challenge.

The rules are very clear. I cannot accept any aircraft picture just for the simple reason that is an aircraft that was flying somewhere in the world during that period. Your Fi-156 image would have been welcome two weeks ago, in the "Oldies but Goldies" challenge.
Thank you for understanding.

What about the not-so-good performance of the electronic viewfinder in very low light. After some testing I realized that NEX-6 suffers from the same usual issues of the EVF - lag and graininess, that start to appear when it gets really dark. What makes things worse is the fact that in almost complete dark the EVF is not truly usable if you want to frame and shoot stars or other faintly lit subjects, like a luminous watch. In my opinion, an optical viewfinder is by far much better in such situations and NEX-6 EVF is no exception..

I do know math and I carefully read the rules.
Read my notes "Total system weight approx. 805 g (in compliance with the "approximate 800g" requested by the rules."
The rules say approximate not maximum weight.
