mitsosmitsou: How about weight support? Do they hold e.g. iPhone Pro Max?
I had a Zhiyun smooth Q4 which could not hold a Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 with its case and sold it.
OM 4 holds 12 Pro Max no problem
Samuel Dilworth: Do these smartphone gimbals, and smartphone gimbals in general, allow the use of any app to record the video?
It‘s not clear to me how much of the gimbal functionality is tied into the app. Tracking requires the app, I suppose. But what about hand-held stabilisation?
You can use any app. I use FiLMiC Pro most of the time. Never use DJI Mimo. No point. Compresses the video dramatically when using the gimmicks (Hitchcock, etc.). The following vid is ALL with the standard camera app

NJOceanView: Does anyone have experience using any of these with the 0.5X lens? I need to use it for building walkthroughs and I have heard that the ultra-wides show part of most or all gimbals. I appreciate any insights here. Thanks!
Doesn’t show with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Works perfectly.
Ellis Vener: I don’t want to remove my phone from the case. How wide does the DJI clamp open?
Gotta remove with iPhone 12 Pro Max
melgross: Of course, I bought the DJI 3 a short while ago. So I’m wondering what the differences are in actual performancewhen compared to the new 4.
None
cd cooker: Just curios if the DJI OM4 magnet works on the latest iPhone 12 Pro. If yes, no need to put on any magnet bracket or sticker, which will be a big plus, and I think you guys should have tested it.
Works fine. Just use the phone grip. Can still disconnect from the magnetic holder easily. Love the OM4 paired with iPhone 12 Pro Max - https://youtu.be/UhSu1b3U91Q
Tom248: I miss Picasa (v3.9) - know that many of us Tech, or post processing compromised) would pay a reasonable monthly/annual fee for it.
I still use it on Windows 10. Not everything works perfectly, but it mostly works. Cataloguing, face recognition, basic editing, etc.
Get a BIG hard drive then use BackBlaze. Cheap and easy unlimited backups.
Airpeak . . . the name sounds a little creepy.
englishman: This version of Lightroom has slowed my computer to a crawl. And I don't see a color grading panel as well.
I mean, it was very snappy and fast the last time I used it. Now, it takes almost a full minute to load, and I can barely edit. I have a 3K workstation for editing 4K files in Premiere Pro.
This version of Lightroom has slowed my computer to a crawl. And I don't see a color grading panel as well.
DualSystemGuy: It looked like they just released the iPhone 11 again. It's missing so many features the year-old competition has such as getting rid of the notch, modern fast charging, higher MP cameras w/pixel binning, USB-C, 8K (questionable usability though), under-screen fingerprint sensor, etc. With everyone having to wear masks for the next year or so, having face-id (a slow implementation at that) as the only way to unlock the phone without a password is extremely annoying. 5G will take at least another 1-2 years before it's common place and it looks like LiDar is a gimmick.
Cameras don't look to be significantly improved, they are still using small sensors with very low MP counts and they are calling 52mm and 65mm "telephoto" which is not even close to telephoto range (85mm). They also force you to buy the "Pro Max" if you want the better "telephoto" camera which is disappointing for anyone not wanting an enormous phone.
Looks like I'll be waiting for the 13 or going to Samsung.
Dang. Glass half empty. Lidar isn't a gimmick. 4K 60fps Dolby Vision is going to be awesome. Sensor shift stabilization should be an improvement. Having an all-in-one video camera/editor in my pocket is an amazing technological achievement. USB-c would be nice but is it a deal killer? Not remotely. The sensor is bigger than it was. The optical zoom is better than it was. Don't like it? Don't buy it. I'm all in on the 12 Pro Max 512GB. Loved the 11 Pro Max and can't wait for the new improvements. So much good video and memories for the family from the 11 Pro Max. Some of the content looks incredible on my 65" 4K. Can't ask for much more from a device that's in my pocket and with me all the time. Glass half full for me.
StoneJack: XS Max 256gb owner here. I skipped 11 line but was told that 11 had great night cameras. Maybe it is time to update iphone? Pro looks good but damn expensive. 12 looks fine and in Taiwan, the entire stock has been preordered in 45 minutes..
Get the pro max 512. You won't regret it. Video is amazing. I have the 11 Pro Max and I have created so many amazing family memories. 4K on my 65" TV looks unreal.
The Fat Fish: Some okay features, nothing groundbreaking. Shame to see the notch is still present (much prefer the cutout cameras) and that there's no underscreen fingerprint reader.
Another well marketed but incremental update. I alternate between iOS and Android every year or two but I'll stick with my S10+ for now.
Nothing groundbreaking? Dolby vision? A14 chip? 5G? Lidar scanner? This is one of the best pieces of tech in the world. Get it and enjoy it.
FuhTeng: They're too much money, they're too fragile, they're temporary.
But darned if I don't want a blue pro max.
Blue Pro Max coming for me. Video capabilities are incredible. Full editing capabilities . . . and all-in-one video production machine that's in my pocket ALL the time. Can't complain about it. Well worth the price. I upgrade every year and the 11 Pro Max was amazing, but this new one . . . even more amazing. Understand what it can do and its limitations and enjoy the tech. Nothing like this ever in the history of the world. Can't wait.
thenoilif: Maybe been said already but I have to say that it’s quite stale of Apple to basically retread the design of the original iPhone. Just slimmer and with a full screen and no glass back.
With that being said, I always that the design was the best so I guess I’ll be updating at some point.
Great design. Edge to edge screen. Great colors. Pro Max 512GB coming for me. This is the camera that is always with me. So many great memories from my 11 Pro Max.
Clyde Thomas: Seeing all that colorful dust flying around an unprotected sensor makes my sphincter crawl.
your sphincter is crawling? Weird
mpb002: What ever happened to cameras that did what they are supposed to do, take pictures. I think Canon should just work on improving their already stellar cameras. If people want video let them purchase video cameras. I think Canon should probably eliminate video from some models. They probably wont though because the other companies are including it in their cameras.
You gotta have video. There's no going back.
focuspulling: Ugh. Didn't we go through this many years ago, with a clear outcome that the general public (not to mention purists who visit dpreview.com) absolutely hate these nerd gimmicks applied to works of art? Remember when colorized Frank Capra DVDs showed up at the drugstore checkout line? Where are they now?
Nerds of the world: stop doing this. We've been able to clean up archival footage for decades, and people with taste/class (e.g., museum curators) constantly refrain from using the latest stupid gimmicks - leaving history as history.
I thought it was pretty incredible.
madeinlisboa: LOL! Smartphones are used because of their compactness and now they want to turn them into cameras. Let's get back to the "get a real camera instead" ...
