Camera type is irrelevant. This is the part we can all agree on! Enjoy the G9. Even as I continually waffle over a return to Fuji or jump up to a Lumix S1 the grass is never **that much** greener ...

The PL12-60 is a nice size for the range and capability. Just for future reference! And if you take the plunge I sincerely hope you enjoy the G9. I think folks who own them tend to use and abuse ...

If you have DXO ISO 1600 is absolutely fine overall. I push higher on occasion but have learned 1600 is the sweet spot max for color and above I generally convert to B+W.

I rarely need to move from ISO 200....the IBIS picks up much of that load for my photography. I've never used auto-ISO and just adjust as needed if the light drops or more likely for shooting ...

I quite like the first two. The statue is wonky to my eyes in the third. From that vantage point if you pivoted west a bit would you be able to long expose jets on final approach for some ...

By this standard I am literally Methuselah :-D Seriously though if you happen to upgrade from the G85 to the G9....like most users (including myself) I rather suspect the camera tech and capability ...

While a number is subjective I do try to distill my photography to shooting like I have film rather than a bottomless well of SD card space and work fairly effortlessly to get most everything ...

It's for sure more sensitive than any other camera I have owned....but I got used to it pretty quick. Occasionally trip the shutter inadvertently but who cares-its not like I'm burning off film :-D

The selfie thing is terrific for candid grabs with friends/family and the wide angle lets me give context. I also prefer the FAS screen versus the tilt as I normally keep it folded back as ...

No protector. I normally have the screen flipped inward and only flip it out for a low angle/odd angle shot. Sometimes for image review in a quiet spot but I find the EVF more enjoyable.

The G9+PL12-60 is a gem combo. I love zooms and the 24-120mm FOV is just perfect for probably 95% of my photographs with no need to mess around swapping lenses. Sharp enough and amazing stabilization.

Another +1 for the image app.
