Janoch: Do not mess with my RAW files!

Just give me whatever you captured and leave the rest up to me!

A Pentax lover and potential user, but this is a turn-off...

I'm dragging around an old Nikon D800 and can get it to "mess" with my RAW files, like Active D-Lighting, lens correction, ISO, but like you say, it's all optional.

Pentax's "problem" is probably solved by a firmware update, and I hope they choose to do so. Just put in some on/off settings and call it a feature...

Look no further than to Fuji's latest firmware to see what wonders can be done through firmware!

Nikon, you should have a look and get inspired too!

In my (old-school) book that is a camera!

Now... they mate the Gfx and this lovely darling and the baby would be a 24x36mm 40 Mp slightly upscaled model.

Ready to sign up for one...

Not a Fuji shooter, but always had a soft spot for their gear.

And if only their way of developing and adding firmware features would inspire other brands (sending you a tired look, Nikon)!

Off to read the X-H1 review! Just for fun of course! :-D

Brilliant work!

No wonder it only took 39 minutes to get funded!

Wow!

But then again... hasn't everything been called "ultimate" for the past 20 years?

What will next gen be called? Extreme Ultimate? Hyper Ultimate?

Janoch: 1 kg and "dangerous"? Ha!

We have 8 tons of chinese space station tumbling out of control towards earth and will crash any day now...

But I still hope he in advance had studied flight paths of both national and international airways...

Meh. No airliner has a problem with loosing an engine or a bit of fuselage.

Someone with the skills can probably find the odds for the two to meet, but I think the chance is minute...

Then again, I don't fly. :-D

Now... that space station...

But this is far from new??

I remember more than 10 years ago using Photoshop Elements (5?) and it had an "artistic" feature, where you copied style from one image to another...

Surely looks impressive though!

Some of us have for a long time suggested true modular cameras... this is a small step in that direction.

Don't have a Pentax, but have studied both their lenses as well as the K1. Not uninteresting!

So... if I come across someone rolling and screaming on the ground in what appears to be an epileptic fit, I'll now just walk on assuming he's just being taught to take proper photos and have turned the AI up to "tazer mode"?

Excellent idea!

ShatteredSky: Nice and all, but do these things have to be loud as they are?

I'm sure, whatever is left of "wild life" don't care or pay attention...

otoh... more and more parks and reservations in Africa are banning use of drones because of impact on "wild life"...

Not sure, I agree it's an "idea to spread"...

shawnfb: I really can't believe that was a human being standing there in that spot, are we sure it wasn't a deer who stole an orange jacket? Perhaps the guy thought by wearing the orange jacket that the out of control car entering a big curve would avoid him?? I hope the person recovers fully, but damm.... what the heck was he doing there?

Hey! Deers have both brains and common sense! Being a big fan, I recent that remark!

The action clearly indicated, it most certainly was a human being!

"... better attention to safety would have prevented the collision."

Alas "pay attention to safety" is only rule #128, when it comes to making great photographs, videos, selfies, etc.

Speaking of rally, last year we saw a number of famous rallies being shortened or even cancelled because of spectators insane behaving...

Meh... if only a photographer had been involved, there you would have the "selfie of the year"!

Been with them since day one and have mentioned them several times here on dpReview...

They've never even had a donate button, but I've suggested them to start subscriptions. I for one certainly would back this, as I've always enjoyed the inspiring articles.

You can still get all 66 issues here http://www.f11magazine.com/all.html

Bobthearch: I wonder why they just didn't publish the articles as web pages? Displaying their magazine as a slideshow within a window, wth? The text is too small to read, much smaller than their web page text, even on a 24" monitor.

You know, you can download the magazine as a pdf file?
