Batdude: Correction, it is not "more expensive". APS-C cameras cost the same now days so honestly, I think is a pretty good deal.

You are right, my bad. What I meant to say is that some APS-C cameras (will) be costing the same such as the Fuji XH2. And even some m43 cameras cost as much which is worse. So yeah a new FF at $2500 is not expensive.

azinheira: I got the A7III a few months ago on sale 1699.00 and worse camera I ever had. Selling now. Everything is terrible and photos not very pleasing. LCD, Viewfinder and menu all terrible. No more Sony

That's funny I have read a lot of people saying what you said. Hopefully this A7IV will have much improved image quality. It should be interesting to see the color science in this puppy and see if is the same, better, or worse.

860 shots from a close to $7000 (after tax) camera??? That’s crazy I sure hope those numbers are way under rated. The camera does indeed look like a beauty nice job canon 👌

Batdude: Why will Lightroom Classic ONLY be faster on a Mac for IMPORT/EXPORT stuff? I just got my PC upgraded to a Ryzen 3900X, so LR Classic will still perform faster with the Mac computer??? I'm starting to feel ripped off.

@sirhawkeye64 I’m using a GTX 1070

Updated coatings on SCREWDRIVE lenses?? Around four yrs ago when I bought the K1 I did want to get the 77 1.8 but what stopped me is that nasty noise old and slow lens AF. Is like if Nikon said they are adding a new coating to the Nikkor 50 1.8 screw drive AF-D. To me this is another huge mistake from Ricoh by not updating these Pentax lenses with faster internal AF. Big mistake. Nice lenses, but the AF accuracy and speed will not change. Bad move IMHO. If the 77 1.8 would have gotten new AF that would have made me want to go back to Pentax. So sad.

MattyMustng: this has to be a joke

why are there plants in the pictures

Is everyone in the Ricoh imaging division just incredibly bored?

What, those green plants are not part of the kit?? 😁

As Spock would say, "that is completely, ilogical!" Why would a canikon user want a Pentax APS-C for $1999 when they can get a brand new D500 for $1400 or a used one in mint condition for $800? You think a canikon user will sell their lenses for Pentax? That just doesn't make any sense. Now, if Pentax (exceeds) the D500 AF performance then (maybe), but I know for a fact that will never happen.

Mr Bolton: I wish they'd make this in Fuji X mount. I can't afford to enter the L mount ecosystem at this time.

How much is that Fuji supposed to cost? Is there any info on that already?

Batdude: Holy c**p that is AWESOME! This thing is lighter than the older Sigma version I have, the 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM which is 725g this is freaking amazing I have been complaining a lot about this and it looks like complaining pays off. Now all I have to do is decide which camera body/brand to buy this is really wonderful news GREAT JOB SIGMA!!! :-)

When you get your chance to test it let us know or send me a private message I'm just curious and would like to see what it is you are talking about. Like I said I mostly work indoor with stage lights I normally don't shoot outdoor. Thanks.

Thanks for bringing that up I guess that should be something to watch out for although I don't think it applies to my photography application and I'll probably not care too much about that, but I'm glad you mentioned it. You don't think is possible all these camera and lens manufacturers have thought about that?

Batdude: I don't take photos with a phone probably because the phone I am using is not the latest and greatest for photos. Having said that I did buy my kid a $1000 iphone 11. Also on my last trip to Guatemala I didn't take any camera gear and did shoot with just my phone. I just wanted to enjoy my vacation this time hahaha :-)

I appreciate a really good photography capability cell phone but I don't want cell phones to take over actual camera gear. Is not as fun as using an actual camera :-)

Hahaha :-)
The phone was for my daughter and no I'm not rich I wish I was. It was her graduation surprise and she didn't ask for it, but she did express that she really like it and she wished she had it. She had no clue we were gonna give her that. She worked REALLY hard at school and got good grades. She NEVER asks for anything because she is very simple. To me she deserved it and it was a gift that came from the heart.

The only thing that makes me rich is my friendship with my creator. Other than that I'm poor :-)
