aarif: The eye af is a great feature when shooting with fast lenses. You will never appreciate it untill you use it. Keepers become much higher then DSLRs

I doubt I'll go back but if I had it before I might have sticked with my DSLRs. There are other features I've grown to light no mirror slap no second guessing exposure no blackouts no back front focusing headache. I'm speaking about the A9 I use now . What I don't like is not having time lapse the my Nikon bodies

I got 3300 shots with the A9 and still had 37% juice left in a photoshoot that lasted 3 hours

Best battery in mirror-less bodies is not mentioned in the pros. I have taken over 3000 shots on a single charge with A9 and still had more than 30% juice. Not having time lapse is a big con for me

much better it was a 1.8 with AF for 600$, Sigma would start to sweat a little

uMad: ""Use of the larger NP-FZ100 battery increases the battery life by 2.2x, meaning a CIPA rating of 650 shots per charge"

Ok, let's do the math:
A7R II: 350 shots
A7R III: 650 shots

While this is nice, where is this 2.2x more?

I have used that battery with the A9 and have taken more than 3000 shots with a single charge. I guess the math is all wrong

LDunn1: I've just compared images of the backs of A7Rii, A9 & A7Riii.

I don't 'get' this statement: " The camera features essentially the same body as the a7R II"

The rear of the camera looks almost identical to the A9's.

it has to be the A9 body , 2 card slots joystick and a bigger battery well it's the A9 body with the new sensor

Personally would have preferred a 400 f4 that could be used with a TC 1.4 and still be a 5.6

why don't they make a middle range; just like nikon range ~1.8 and fuji ~2

the you is not for you if you know what I mean :) , just stating that at 35mm f 1.4 would be better

Link | Posted on Oct 11, 2017 at 14:20 UTC

now give us 135 1.8/2 with AF
