The "moodiness" um, overshadows any sharpness or lack of - the uniqueness of the shot is what grabs me.  Sharpness here is "eh, who cares - great shot."

Nice - I don't think the light angle spoiled it at all.

I really like the tighter crop the best!  Puts the focus where it should be - on the bird.
