Pentax smc DA 15mm F4 ED AL Limited
Yeah, I finally did it - just ordered a K-3 to replace my trusty old K-7!
Some users whine about its atrocious purple fringing, but once you notice that the CAs clean up nicely in post, you're free to enjoy it for what it is, an unsually versatile beautiful-colours-and-contrast-immense-fun fisheye lens!
The widest Limited in the current Pentax line-up, and now the widest lens in my bag. Easily the best wide-angle glass I've ever owned. How could I be so long without one?
Pentax smc DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL WR
Pentax smc DA 35mm F2.8 Macro Limited
Pentax smc DA 50mm F1.8
In retrospect, no resolution daemon, could use a little more microcontrast, but hey, this was never meant to be more than an altogether decent kit zoom, which it is. Even weather-sealed. Metal mount. Owe this lens a ton of early keepers which I wouldn't have got, if it weren't for this lens, then my only lens, on the camera.
My entry into Pentax's wonderful line of Limiteds. Really capable standard-plus-macro prime, as long as it's not raining buckets (since, like all DA Limited primes, it lacks weather-sealing) ...
What? Four and a half stars for a plastic-fantastic cheapo prime? Yep, because it delivers admirably where it counts the most, in image quality. Immense bang for the buck. Couldn't be happier with the results I'm getting from this lens.
Pentax smc DA 55-300mm F4.0-5.8 ED
My telephoto workhorse for anything that requires a bit more reach. Light to carry, and great value for money.

Luxury short telephoto with a bokeh to die for. Bit overpriced, given that it has the less than trust-inspiring, somewhat sluggish SDM. But otherwise a great lens.

This tiny pancake would nicely complement my DA15 Limited in the moderate wide-angle department. For some impression of what it can do in capable hands, check out the work of Colin Blunt on (who happens to shoot the older smc version).

Would be enticing as an upgrade from my 18-55mm WR kit lens. Early reviews suggest it's a solid performer indeed.

One can dream, right? Even if I don't see me actually owning this phenomenal camaera ...

Likely the most capable telephoto zoom in the current Pentax line-up. A bit pricey, alas.

If they have made this much-loved lens even a tad better than it already was, without asking a fortune for it, I'm tempted.

Wonderful short-telephoto pancake, esp. for portraits, landscapes, and what have you. One of the sharpest lenses in the Pentax lineup, it would be a worthy completion of my collection of DA Limiteds, too. And the HD coatings and rounded aperture make this little gem even more desirable. Which is not to say that the older smc version is an inferior lens (it is excellent, in fact).

Comparatively affordable fast-telephoto prime, though with less range than the DA* 300mm. Focuses down to 1.2 metres. With its specs and IQ it sure would see a lot of use.

Would give me more working distance for macros, and all-weather capability into the bargain.

A long-telephoto dream, easily one of the most desirable lenses in the whole Pentax lineup.

This camera, though not without flaws, has changed my life - and certainly my photography. Discontinued in 2010, it can no longer compete with the latest generation of APS-C bodies, esp. at high ISO, but otherwise it was a great camera that never really failed me through 9,800+ actuations!
