Thanks Nigel. It makes sense. I thought I would ask since I don't follow Sony camera news.

I recommended the RX 10 IV to a friend who needs a lightweight high quality birding camera. Since this model dates back to 2017, I was wondering if a Mk V replacement is expected soon and what ...

Hi Trevor, If you want to use a TC with your 60mm lens, you will have to use an extension tube to make it fit. You will also have to modify the extension tube wo make its inside diameter a little ...

Thanks, I will look into this.

My camera is an Oly E-M1 Mk III 20mp. My computer is a 7 years old 16GB i7-3770k and I am due for a refresh. Some components are still good, case, PS, monitors. I decided I will get the 1660 ...

The PCIe 4.0 Samsung 980 is much faster than the 970. I have a very large LR Catalog of 70 000 photos that I don't want to split and it make a big difference. I decided I will get the 1660 Ti.

Thanks for the info. Yes, i meant 1660 Ti... I found out last evening that Topaz uses the GPU a lot. I made tests with my low end GTX 750 Ti and Topaz Denoise improves by 31% !!! Since I use ...

Hi Trevor, I have the PL 100-400mm that I hate and the Oly 300mm with both TCs that I love. In my dreams, I was imagining reasons that would prompt me to buy the 150-400mm. A Canadian price of ...

I used the PL 100-400mm a lot before getting the Oly 300mm and hand-holding was not a problem. The Oly 100-400mm is a bit heavier but that should be ok. The single IS was not a problem; of ...

Nice photos using the 100-400mm Paul. Congrads ! I have the PL 100-400mm and I really don't like; I seldom use it but I miss the zoom. The Oly 100-400mm could be a nice addition to my 300mm. ...

There is a much easier way to modify the spacer. A few swirls of sandpaper with a Dremel tool will do it. Do a couple of turns and test, repeat until it fits. It took me about 2 minutes and ...

Big difference between Mk II and Mk II for me. I cannot comment on tracking however since I never use it. I can now use the 2.0X TC with the 300mm. With the E-M1 Mk II, it was useless. Focus ...

I made a quick test for you on a AA battery. 1- No TC 1/25 s. - f/2.8 - ISO 2000 - no flash - minimum focusing distance 8,2 cm from the front of the lens 2- 1.4X TC with 16mm extension tube - 1/25 ...

I agree. I just wanted to show that BIF are possible with the MC20. IMO, if would also be possible with the 100-400mm if the light is good and if you understand that the IQ will suffer.
-
This one was done with the 300mm and 2X TC. I was surprised how easy it was using the E-M1 Mk III instead of the Mk II. My E-M1 Mk II doesn't like the MC-20: slow and imprecise focus.

Thanks for your help Guy, I found a solution that works on both cameras. Custom D2 -> Live View Boost -> Manual Shooting and Others -> must be set to OFF or ON1. They cannot be set to ON2. Strange !
