Same here. I inherited my father's Nikkormat with a Nikkor-S 50mm f/1.4 lens and used it for many years. I purchased Vivitar 35mm and 135mm lenses to complete my system. Thank you for reminding me those nice souvenirs.

On article RIP Lightroom 6: Death by subscription model (1615 comments in total)

I didn't mind paying to have access to LR and PS. Now Adobe wants me to pay to store my 1TB of photos on their cloud... this is too much.

I've got an unlimited plan at home and the bandwith needed. What will happen when I am travelling and the WiFi in my hotel room is barely enough to read my emails ? What will happen when I have to rely on my smartphone with a 6GB plan ? What about security ?

Also, what will happen to the nice plugins I was using with PS ? I guess I'll have to be looking for another alternative...

On article WaterWeight rethinks the sandbag approach to stability (77 comments in total)

Hey, this is not April Fool day... This thing is way too heavy when empty and way too expensive. Totally useless IMO.
When I need extra stability, I hang my backpack or ThinkTank belt to the hook of my tripod. I also have a net bag strong enough to hold a few rocks but I never saw the need to use it so I don't carry it anymore.
