Useful thread. Brings up the same conundrum with the Sigma 56 f/1.4 . I don't know what the max aperture of the EOS-M 18-150 is at 56mm, but the 18-150 yields 4 stops stabilization, so it's ...

Agree. Canon leaves a lot to be desired. Would be nice if my M6mkii and lenses were weather sealed and if there were more lens choices like my Olympus kit. It would be great to be able to take the ...

Sony televisions all the way. We've had Sony televisions since I was a toddler and never a complaint. Also, there's an ongoing thread in one of the Canon forums here on DPReview about results from ...

The problem with this thread is that the choice of cameras presented is a bad comparison. The Sony a7.3 is a cheaper camera when really the OP should save up more money and get an R6 which is a ...

I'd want to shoot faster than 500th sec. Most people I know who shoot sports are more concerned with shutter speed than iso. Set the aperture and shutter to what is required and if you have a good ...

I had an A7iii, A6500, and an A6600. I wouldn't go back to any of those cameras. Maybe an A7iv but I'd have to use it for a bit first. I've never used the R but I doubt I'd even consider it. It's ...

Certainly one of the best light painting pictures I've seen. Really nice.

True. However, what I meant was that the R5 gives the best of both worlds. Very good ability to crop. I'm continually amazed at what I'm able to crop out of my sports pictures. Sure, an R7 has ...

I use one of those Domke wraps all the time for this kind of thing. Take it off stick it in your pocket. Weighs next to nothing. Doesn't provide total drop protection, but neither do many small cases.

But you can easily crop an R5 down to an R7. Maybe even an R10, but you'll never crop an R7 or R10 to a R5. That important to consider.

So what's the bottom line with this lens? I only want it if it's a true f/2.8 (measured in mm. No cm or inches please).

Just happened to see this ThinkTank bagwhen I looked up the Lowepro: Think Tank Photo Mirrorless Mover 5 Camera Bag

I think I agree. I'd have to play with the originals some, but the G9 shots seem more appealing.

I recently spent an evening taking pictures of holiday lights and crowds in NYC with my M6 mkii, the 11-22, and a few other eos-m lenses. That camera is golden with the 11-22. The 32/1.4 is a gem ...

∆∆∆ THIS! ∆∆∆ Let me give an analogy: I am the designated photographer for the kids sports teams - there's a lot of teams! People ask me how did so and so play? Sadly, I don't ever really know ...

My kids play all kinds of sports ice hockey lacrosse basketball soccer baseball and I'm currently shooting an R5 and various lenses. For general purpose I would get either the R5 or the R6 or the ...

I'm not a bird guy but I really like that pic with the 3 images of the bird.

R5 35/1.8 Next time I'll expose a tad longer...

I wouldn't mind spending a day (or night) trying my M6ii on that EF 300 2.8ii for sports. Bet that's a super combination.
