The price in Europe is 1000 euros. That's a pretty insane price difference, even after adding the US taxes. Buying the lens in the US would cost you 250 euros / dollars less at the current parity.

I own both the Tamron 28-200 and Sigma 28-70. I use the latter for video work as well as indoor shootings if I cannot use primes. For travel the Tamron is unbeatable. I pair it with the Samyang 18mm.
