In reply to:

user17760704: This is a game changer for the already best S1H.
RAW allows DR to FF sensors full potential.
5.9K allows re-framing if necessary and downsampling to get full and complete 4K detail and resolution.
The S1H has video features other "video" cameras can only dream about.

If you only want 4K or 1080p start with 5.9K is going to be the best option, and always better than 4K or worse UHD 4K.
These says a UHD 4K only camera with no down sampling from a 20 or 24MP sensor is obsolete.
Jordan has everything from a pre-prod A7s3 to an R5 to a GFX100 and the S1H is his favorite.
Can't blame him.

TRU, what hybrid camera are you currently using?
Would you please share a link to any Netflix video's (or any others) you are proud of, you seem to be an expert in video, stills, cameras, lenses, and everything else.

Mr Bolton: I would rather all the 6K I can shoot than a few minutes of 8K. If I were a pro videographer, I would go with this, the first hybrid ILC camera that Netflix has officially approved for shooting to their standards. And that was before this new addition!

The problem is, some people will buy hybrid cameras only on specs alone. Even if they can't use it or know what to do with it. It might have something to do with "I have the best camera" syndrome.
It might be that they have more money than common sense, similar to Leica owners. Most people would need 8K video, like they need another hole in their head. Especially for a $4k camera, plus all the high quality lenses they would need to take advantage of it. :/

Can anyone really tell the difference between f1.8 & f1.6 at 85mm, seriously?

I do applaud Viltrox for making a $400 prime for Sony and Fuji. At least that gives people who only take portraits occasionally a change to have a fairly high-quality prime in their kit. Good for them!

Just make sure you get an long extened warranty on that new folding display! I can't see it lasting that long with a lot of use, every day.

dlb41: It's a nice little camera for someone who doesn't want a lot of controls. The viewfinder alone places it ahead of any smart phone.

You are correct, it is better than any smart phone, exept for the size, weight, price without any expensive pro lenses. But, does it have CP, AI, instant sharing, make phone calls, text, email, and fit in your pocket?

I remember when I bought my iPad Pro, Apple offered me 20 bucks for my old iPad 2 through their trade-in program... what a deal! LOL

@Thoughts R Us
That would all depend on exactly which lenses you would need, right? Especially if you don't already own the lenses that will work with the Z cameras.
BTW, are you going to get one? Sorry, nobody know what you shoot with since you will not tell anyone, for some strange reason. :/

Copal Fit: Pitiful approach to get into a collector's market with TTArtisan lenses. I don't think any kind of serious Leica collector will fall for this.

There are a few ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborgotti, buyers that will fall for it.

MHshooter: It'll sell most likely in Asia. That is where most of that stuff ends up. I know company that specializes in very rare Leicas, blinged-out cameras and they all end up there. There is no real market in N. America for them.

Or anywhere else where great IQ, video, and value is more important. Some people have more $ than good sense.

@Elisam... if you don't already have a bunch of Nikon lenses (in the right format), then you need to invest in $2-6,000 of new lenses. So it's only a good deal if are already a Nikon user, right?

@deepDEEPpurple
Even after Canon fan boyz view all those videos of the R5/6 melting down, smoking, catching fire, shutting down, they will still deny any issue exists.

There is an a7xxx with 60MPs and one with 12MPs. It looks like one is for stills and on is for video. Am I wrong? Personally, I could not imagine owning a FF camera with ONLY 12MPs. It seems like a waste of a perfectly good FF sensor, only to shoot video for $3,500!

I hope they get a picture of a real martian, rather than a bunch of dirt and rocks. Otherwise, not sure the mission will be worth the time, cost, R&D, etc, IMO.
PS, from what I can see, I don't think I'd want to go there or live there.

FujifilmXT3: In what way is this better than an XT-4 ? Certainly not the price

Fat fish, just looks at the OP's name, does it look like he could not be biased? Some people will never understand the differences between FF and mFT cameras, how stupid is that? If he can't discern the differences in specs and IQ, it's not worth trying to explain it to him. Even though the A7S III is only good for video with only 12MP's. It is pretty much a niche camera.

BTW, the A7S III is in a much higher category of cameras, as you said. Let the troll keep putting down the A7S III, and try not to feed it, thanks.

snapa: If Olympus would have been able to put CP & AI in their small outdated sensors like smart phones, they might have been able to stay in business. The size, weight, price of the E-M1 Mark III pretty much put them out of buisness. Not to mention all of those super expensive "Pro" lenses needed to squeeze the most out of those super old 16-20MP sensors.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the E-M1 Mark III the largest, heaviest, most expensive camera with the smallest outdated camera ever made? If yes, I rest my case. Also, the video compared to Pansonic was not even close.

@It is just a fool and tool and Foto4x4.
Show me the proof which neither of you have done so far. If not take a flying leap. You talk about things you can't back up. I'm 62 years old BTW, so I know BS from the truth, which neither of you have proven yet.
Until either of you can do that (prove me wrong), you are just talking out of your ass.
