It’s hard to describe those Canon cameras as competent, he was using a 5Dsr, that turd of a camera only had 9.5 stops of DR. M43 cameras have more dynamic range. JPG is 8 stops of DR. The fact that ...

It’s definitely not the right camera to be using to take pictures of your sleeping cat.

Yeah, well Sony aren’t going to be selling their global shutter sensors to anyone for a while.
-
Like most of the other cameras on the market, it’s just the same picture quality as the rest since they’re all “Sony Inside” cameras…. Apart from Canon which are worse.
-
@ starbase so now you’re claiming the z9 and z8 can shoot at 120 fps….lol
-
@raindrop The A6700 has exactly the same AI autofocus as the A9iii, you know the only autofocus system in existence that can autofocus, track subjects, do eye autofocus and autoexposure all at 120fps.
-
@starbase The A1 is an old body that’s due for superseding. It doesn’t have Sony’s new AI autofocus chip.

I just thought I’d share a couple of quotes from the A6700 review on this site. “ Given the fact Sony has long been a leader in subject tracking reliability” “ These results outshine the a6700's...

Low ISO is where you really need more dynamic range, so in bright contrasty conditions, it doesn't just blow the highlights and kill the shadows. You'd be crazy to shoot either of these cameras ...

Canon designed their mount to make sure you can’t use adapters so you can’t use any foreign lenses on their cameras.

Can’t you just select the lens profile in your software of choice and apply it to all the images when you import them?
-
@m-black You’re right to try to change the subject to something less measurable than autofocus performance.
-
Companies have been forced into this path of user beta testers, because some camera manufacturers who didn’t read the changing market were forced to play catch up and they were desperate to get...
-
Let’s not pretend that these Nikon firmware updates to the autofocus of their top line expensive bodies aren’t anything but catch ups to the autofocus of Sony’s budget A6700 APSC camera, which...

Taking photos with readily available cameras is not “cheating”.

It’s clearly a great many years since most of the posters here went to school and did math. Hence the great confusion, mixing up of concepts, and false conclusions that people come to. It’s...
