It’s not just Sony, all the major Japanese companies have moved manufacturing out of Japan, the Japanese Government has been compensating them to do so for their strategic interests.

Actually it’s got nothing to do with labor costs, the Japanese Government have being paying companies to move their production out of...

There's nothing wrong with it. It just needs a bit of post-work. Colour correction, saturation +10, dodge and burn. Topaz Denoise.

Max has 400GB/s, Ultra has 800GB/s. https://www.apple.com/mac-studio/specs/

I'm a professional product photographer and do colour-correct work every day. X-Rite Colour checker is the industry standard. I read your articles and found them to be incorrect. When you shoot ...

White balance is just lazy and poor colour correction.

The studio has a MAX processor, eight performance cores, and 24 graphic cores, but the big difference is the 400GB/s memory bandwidth, plus tons of ports. I was thinking more about who would buy...

I've got the Miops trigger. I use it every day, and it's excellent. It's very responsive and has tons of functionality. Still using the original cable, it came with 3 or 4 years later. It's not ...

If you want perfect white balance. Do what the professionals do, use an x-rite colour card, and install the plugin in Lightroom. Perfect colour every time.

You can’t tell much from these ACR comparisons, because ACR does such a terrible job at converting Fujifilm X-Trans files. Luckily There are other RAW converters that do a better job.

Given it's a camera aimed primarily at stills shooters, the omissions seem fair and balanced. If you shoot a lot of video, stop being cheap and get the X-H2.

I love the abundance of swirly bokeh this lens produces. There are more than enough well-corrected lenses in the world if that's what you want.

@richard, you could just add the capture one output to the same menu pull-down you use for pixel shift. It’s hardly any more work at your end, and it would provide incredible useful information to...
-
@richard I think it’s time to add a new tab to the studio scene and add Capture One processed images. Sony and Fujifilm both give you Capture One for free with purchase and it seems to disadvantage...

Same here, I’m in manual on my current camera 90% of the time so the dial would actually be an advantage for me. This camera is pretty tempting.

There’s nothing fancy about reading 50% less pixels 50% faster.

Canon solved the DR problem with FSI sensors ages ago, just bake in noise reduction at base ISO.
