Have you reported this to Fuji? Forum members are learned about many things but I don't think anyone here can fix firmware bugs.

People interested in this lens are going to be pixel-peeping - there’s no point in getting a $5k lens if you have to downsize images to web size and resolution for them to look sharp.

These images of birds would be much improved if the eye was where the image is sharpest.

Hmmm, I wonder if Nikon would accept spouses or parents from those who don't have kids. Another tempting glass offering from Nikon. They have certainly cornered the market in lust-worthy long lenses.

If you didn't check prices regularly and you bought the hype about prime day, you might well look at that price and think it was a great deal. Lots of retailers do this kind of thing.
