Nice changes, guys & gals. Oh & and I figured out the 'collapsed' thread view.
Basically a gimmick camera and I wouldn't buy it, especially if I have to use their service to store the pictures. Besides, taking a picture every 30 seconds isn't all that great of an idea if you have to sift through them all.
Is there anyway to add this to my favorites or bookmark this article within DPR? I don't have time to read the whole thing but am very interested in the subject, since I needed to learn how to do this months ago!
1 vote for the single hair sticking up on top of his head (and the fact that I painted a cat almost just like this one!!) :-)
Call me when they support Olympus & other DSLRs & I'll let you know how it works.
So glad I never bought into FB, Instagram, & all that. Saves me the trouble of trying to extricate myself from their grip.
omg these things give me the creeps... seriously. But it's a good shot of a scary subject - looks like he's had a snack, too. Was he being fed - like in an exhibition or show, or is this just a talented croc? :-)
I checked out the book.... sexting, genital herpes shot & all... Geez, DPR - where are your standards these days... in the toilet?
Gah. The color scheme is changing for the worse... and now 'ignored' people's threads are no longer 'grayed out' - wassup with that? It was so much nicer when they were relegated to the bottom of the page. *sigh*
I know you just put out a poll re: voting up/down, but you kinda stacked it in favor of keeping it - in one form or another - 3 to 1.
Bummer.
At least in forum that I participate in, the 'up/down' wars are evident and I'm rather sick of them already. People who hate each other vote each others' posts down no matter what they say, photos get voted down, even if they're nice, and one person has started 2 threads about it and the fur's flying all over the place...
I've had enough.
Whatever you have to do to stop this nonsense can't happen too soon.
Meaning: I'm wanting to see gear & photo threads, not petty up/down wars & useless threads that have no bearing on photography. Yeah I know I can ignore them, but if threads started by people who were on ignore were relegated back down to the bottom of the page like they used to be, they'd be 'out of sight, out of mind' and I'd just see the threads that pertain to my hobby.
Sorry for the rant, but I liked the 'regular' bickering better!
Ok this is odd! if you go to this post: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/post/42628000
The cat photo is rotated sideways in the post. When you go to the gallery, it's not! It's the first & only post I've seen like this. I don't drink so it's not me, I swear! :-P
One more thing... anyway to disable the 'post preview'? So annoying...
The 'increased spacing' thing is weird. It was easier to read prior to the change. Any way to extend/scale the 'black' part? More than 1/3 of my screen is wasted with gray. (23"ACD)
also, can you link to a 'smilies' list? or put the graphics back in the text editor?
OH and can you please make the 'subscribe to email replies' on a thread default to OFF instead of ticked? I will subscribe if I want to - I don't want the choice made for me my mistake if i forget to UNtick. THanks.
Please keep the 'ignore' feature intact. Since reporting seems to do little, the ignore feature is the 2nd best thing.
I'm not so thrilled about the up & down ratings, but it's a small thing that I doubt I'll use unless trying to send a troll into oblivion.
Giving us a chance to keep the old 'skin' or color scheme would be more than helpful. Gray on black is virtually unreadable because of lack of contrast. I'd rather keep it the same or have black on white.
These aren't sunflowers...
Very creative! Congrats. :-)
Very nice capture - I had to look twice to see why he (she?) was leaping, but then I saw the bug. Awesome!
