Bottom line here is the IQ on this thing is insane.
And it costs so much less than most everything else.

It applies some noise reduction at higher ISOs, it can’t track a moving subject very well...

Had me all excited, until I saw the price.

Pentax User here and I fully agree with most of this article.
It’s a mkii version, so small incremental improvements in the last model.
Likewise the k-3ii as well.

It’s all looking a bit weak...

Pentax do themselves no favours with these gimmicky PR features.

Tripod pixel shift, using the sensor to move 1 pixel at a time is very impressive tech.
