I assume the above text in quotes is for the Canon 100mm macro - I prefer Nikon’s 105mm Z micro to be just a macro lens without “DC” features.

Yeah, I guess you’re right... here’s what Nikon says on the Nikon USA website: https://www.nikonimgsupport.com/ni/NI_article?articleNo=000001237&configured=1&lang=en_US 1 year warranty on Nikkor Z ...
-
My warranty card shows the 1+4 year as shown below: I've deleted the serial # - mine is more than 19,000 units earlier than yours. Also, Nikon could have changed their warranty policy since I got ...

I hope there's more performance improvements yet to come... as for eye AF - I'm not interested - but I totally get it that it's important for a lot of other folks. Where I would like to see more ...

For me, support for the Z7II was a welcome update. I also like the PRIME and DEEP PRIME noise reduction for raw files. The v4.2 update seems a bit buggy, but hopefully, they’ll work them out.

The soft lens pouch for the Nikkor 200-500f5.6E (i.e., CL-1434) will fit the 70-200S attached to your Z6. Photos below show my 70-200S + Z7II fitting in a CL-1434. CL-1434 sift pouch with 70-200S ...

That's a novel solution to avoid the possibility of inadvertently releasing the OEM foot from the lens :-D As the other poster already mentioned, the balance point is about 1.5" forward of the ...

Late to this party - but I may as well add my $.02 in... the lack of a V4 model helped push me to the EOS M6. Ultimately, the M6's lack of AF performance - as well as a menu system I just couldn't ...
-
The Z7II has a menu setting that allows it to remember focus position even after power off - then subsequent power on. Check SETUP menu (SAVE FOCUS POSITION). Caveat: not sure if this works with ...

Interesting - I never thought that operation of the aperture blades could cause a discernible sound.
-
To be clear - I found two different sounds: the “clicking” sounds heard by the OP, as well as the “ka-chunk” sounds I heard. I understand what you are saying about the “ka-chunk” noise - I am just ...
-
I can confirm that VR ON or OFF makes no difference. In fact, I hear tiny clicking noises in all three lenses: 70-200S, 24-70S, and the 14-24S. The difference among them is noise amplitude and ...

My bad - I apologize to DxO - I misread Nikon's FW 3.20 update with DxO's. I should read more carefully.
-
Don, I take your point - I know nothing about software development - but... support for the Z6II NEFs was available just 10 days after camera release. Could there really be that much difference in ...
-
I don’t know about an A+ for support - this doesn’t sound right. If your Z6_200-500+TC-14E NEFs were supported under PL3 v3.00 – and PL3 allowed you to update the FW to v3.20 – your ...

Just how tight is "sufficient enough"? In my case, I "sufficiently" tightened the knob - then depressed the release lever and tried to slide the foot off. To my utter amazement, the foot slid ...
-
Based on an earlier post of yours wherein you stated an intent to keep your D500 - I was going to predict that you would let it go sooner, rather than later. But in this more recent post, you ...

I don't know the answer to your question - but I saw that list, too. My thought was: a lens I want isn't on that list :-D I would like to see a Z-Nikkor equivalent of the F-mount 8-15mm ...
