About me:

I started taking photographs when my dad bought me a Canon AE-1 camera and when my uncle gave me lessons on how to use it. I enjoyed it as a hobby so much so that I worked in the photographic industry for 3 decades and travelled for assignments. Now, I work in a different field, but I'm still taking photographs and I don't think it will ever stop.

David's current gear

Nikon Coolpix AW110
Olympus E-1
Olympus E-5
Fantastic waterproof point and shoot camera.
My oldie and trusted Olympus camera that produces Kodachrome like files. Not using it as often now, but mainly as a backup camera to my E-5 or E-P5 when and if they need to go in for service or if I need a unique Kodachrome look in my photos.
My main all weather sports camera, which replaced the E-1, that I bought used and cheap 5 years after it was introduced. It's old and dated by today's standards but great for my low budget! The only camera I have in my kit that can do C-AF well until I can afford an E-M1 Mark II.
Olympus PEN E-P5
Olympus 9mm F8 Fish-Eye Body Cap Lens
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm 1:1.8
I had to splurge a bit to get this by cutting other expenses in my budget and it's all worth the while. Better low light performance than my E-5 which allows me to shoot the Milky way and the stars with better IQ and use it for that purpose and for the street if I need a light weight setup.
Great cheap fisheye for UWA shots. Surprised that the IQ is quite good for the price. I usually take this lens travelling if I need a fisheye as opposed to the 7.5mm
Use this often for wide street shots in conjunction with my Leica 25mm 1.4.
Olympus Zuiko Digital 14-54mm 1:2.8-3.5 II
Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 70-300mm 1:4.0-5.6
Panasonic Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm F2.8 ASPH OIS
This is my main all weather zoom lens used on my Olympus E-5 and my E-P5 with MMF3. Got this used for less than $90 and am very happy with the performance thus far.
This is my only telephoto zoom lens I have in my Olympus kit for both E-5 and E-P5 (using the MMF3 adapter). Got it pretty cheap for around $50 mint and had gotten me pretty great shots of eagles and other animals.
Unique lens and great for macro closeup work. Use it mainly for portrait work for its unique rendering look,
Panasonic Leica Summilux DG 25mm F1.4
Panasonic Lumix G 14mm F2.5 ASPH
Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm F2.8 OIS
One of my most favourite prime lenses in my kit for my Olympus system for street photography!
My most used wide angle prime lens for landscape or as a small travel lens for my E-P5 as a P&S.
My all weather portrait lens. Use this in conjunction with my Leica 45mm 2.8.
Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH OIS
Rokinon 7.5mm F3.5 UMC Fisheye CS
Samyang 14mm F2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical
My walkabout lens for E-P5 and use it also as my landscape lens as well. Had 13x19" sharp prints made from this lens that impressed a number of people!
I managed to score this one at a pretty good price as I like the coverage plus it can be de-fished quite easily
Great full frame lens and married permanently with a focal reducer to give me a 10mm f/2. This is a speciality lens that allows me to shoot the milky way and the stars with good dynamic range and noise due to its f/2 speed. Or I can use it with an adapter with a Sony A7/A7R when the needs arise for bigger prints..
Adobe Photoshop CS6
DxO Optics Pro Elite
