A very good laptop, but pro...

UHS-II SD card slot is of little use to those who actually need this level of performance. Still going to need an external card reader for those fast CFExpress cards in a lot of high end, pro, cameras.

WiFi-6 not 6E is a bit of a disappointment. Not sure what is evolved with chip supply as it relates to this. All that new, empty, 6GHz spectrum would be nice in a laptop *I* would hope to get more than a year or two out of. Additionally, an ethernet port would have been nice. 10Gb preferably.

Don't get me wrong, this looks to be the nicest Apple Laptop in a long while.

Even if the conclusion is that the iPhone 13 isn't demonstrably "better" than the iPhone 12 *I'd* still buy the 13. It's one more year that I'd get all of the new features in new ios releases.

Still using my iPhone 8. The 13 is tempting. I need to review the new features that the 8 doesn't support (It's a bunch from 15 and previous). We'll see... Maybe I can hold off one more year, the battery is still OK.

jwj6363: Import export performance is one of the things I care about least. I can start either and walk away while it works. Interesting exercise but it tells me little to help chose between the two even if performance was the only factor, which it's not.

As to the subscription; whatever. A year of LR/PS cost not much more than a quality UV filter. Argue all you want... If anyone cares (you shouldn't) I don't use any Adobe software.

$100 in front of a $3k lens. You bet. Not everyone is using the kit lens. If $100 stretches your budget than your life choices certainly could stand some scrutiny.

"The Alpha 1 Full-frame Interchangeable-Lens Camera will be available in March 2021 for approximately $6,500 USD and $8,500 CAD. It will be sold at a variety of Sony’s authorized dealers throughout North America."

I assign absolutely nothing concerning this to Nikon specifically. It's representative of the industry as a whole. Each company will handle it (rapidly shrinking market) in their own way.

As others more knowledgeable than I have said, it's never been the high-end professional or enthusiast cameras that have driven sales. It's the low and mid range. Sales of those cameras have been slaughtered by smart phones. Nonsense such as Nikon would be fine if only the Z7 had been more competitive compared to the Sony's on day one doesn't hold water.
