For a lot of content that is based online these days.12mp is ample and this would make a great hybrid for predominantly online use. I could see a lot of users seeing this as a benefit

I’d say the latter Mikegt. I really wouldn’t want him to be associated with my brand let alone pay him to speak for it. Let’s just hope his kids don’t get him a Sony for his next Father’s Day...

Actually a 1/8000 mechanical shutter is very useful for MFT because the lenses perform that you are able to shoot then wide open and still get sharp images and usable DOF.

James, whilst I agree, there is a lot of emphasis on video, but given that the the GH5 has these specs makes me feel Olympus should have been more competitive here. The EM1 markiii could have...

Consider that bias works both ways. If one has a bias against Sony, they might possibly see the positive recommendations made by a review site that operates independently as somewhat of a...

I think they resolved the issue with the A7riii, not an Astrophotographer myself so can’t verify, but found this article if it helps https://petapixel.com/2017/11/14/sony-a7r-iii-star-eater-no/

A7riii all the way, it’s a better built camera, much better EVF and 500,000 vs 200,000 shutter rating. Might not matter but those extra dollars are well spent IMO The advantage of A7Riii’s ...

Video is here and it’s not going away, what’s not to get? The article speaks the truth and makes perfect sense. To make a dedicated stills camera would overall be aimed a smaller market, and...

Many of us that are heavily invested in MFT or APSC gear are also heavily invested in full frame. There is no wrong trail. There are size advantages that are real, there are no theoretical FF...

I think you’ll find that most cameras featured here are stills based with video being the secondary function of the camera. Especially if we are talking about the x100 series. The majority buying...

Something like a GFX 50R with a 50mm 3.5? The camera you want basically exists.

I spend big on MFT it’s actually a great system and worth every penny. Great glass closes the gap substantially and there is plenty available for the system. I actually need full frame for certain...

They have it in the form of a GFX 50R with 50mm 3.5 attached. It would be a better choice at this price point for all too many reasons.

This kind of philosophy is what’s getting tired. Not sure it’s dead at all, given this camera sits in an enthusiasts segment with no real competition. Not only that, this camera can fill the...

@ecka84 It doesn't matter how much light comes from the lens if your tiny little sensor cannot gather as much light as the larger sensor. Sorry but Image sensors don't work like solar panels. Is...
