Nice but 3 lbs is still 3lbs. How about a 600mm 2lb good for a 1.4x!

DavidsfotosDotCom: Roger, I have a Canon 300mm F2.8 L Non IS with auto focus. The built in 105mm? outer element is just a flat filter I was told, It has a middle finger nail size fracture at the edge.Canon will no longer work on this lens. I've done some test shots & I see no degradation to the image quality unless I shoot into the sun which I never need to.
No one will buy my lens as is without a bench test report stating if there is an optical performance issues. What is your opinion? Where can I get it tested? How much to test
About How much to repair? Please send me several test & repair shop contacts, Anyone that can help please reply. Thanks

RE: My 300mm f2.8 L lens. Is the end element a flat 105mm UV filter?
If I can't find 1 is there a scientific supply company that has 105mm optical glass? If you run across a supply in the future please inform me.
Thanks.

Is there a H2o housing for the GR II? I would love the GR
V if no shutter lag & bright waist level tilt screen to about
45 degrees + macro! & 4K video.
Can anyone tell me which cameras have these feat? Thanks

snapa: When I read: " The three individuals were forced to leave King behind", all I could think of is WOW, I hope those 3 individuals were not his friends! Even if they weren't, they should have helped him get away, like they did. I could not imagine 3 people just watching someone fall down and just leaving him there to die, how cowardly and selfish they were to do that. I hope the three of them slept well that night.

snapa; you can't fight poison gas with bullets, if your serving a egyptian Pharaoh it maybe your duty to be buried alive with them. People trained to obey rather than think should not be allowed to be cops, park rangers or bureaucrats!

Dear snapa; My draft # was 69 when Nixon stopped the stupid & wrong Vietnam war. Soldiers told me you loose some of your civil rights when you enlist you become government property. Anyway check out the Federal OSHA's standard for confined spaces (29 CFR 1910.146) contains the requirements for practices and procedures to protect employ-ees from the hazards of toxic fumes in permit spaces.

In confined space / HAZMAT 40 hour training, your trained to leave to get help other wise there could be 4 dead!

Toxic gas is known to exist inside some volcano cones. Up at 9,000' + the Park Service has a marked trail from the visitors center down to the floor of the volcano. By the time the lava flows the last 500' vertical feet to the ocean the fumes have dissipated, it's never been an issue at this volcano flow! When I was there I did not smell anything from 1,000' away.

genrxr: Tragic he died but to be honest he was not a smart guide. I have photographed lower antelope canyon twice and both times checked the weather north of me prior to climbing down to avoid flash floods.

1) He should have checked the weather prior to the expedition.
2) Because there is ocean all around a brief squall or weather pattern could develop unexpectedly. For these instances he should have had masks available for everyone in the party. If masks are too cumbersome the hike should not have taken place.

OliverGlass: This is one case where I feel PETA overstepped it's boundaries. The photographer created conditions that made the animal press the shutter so he owns the image. Mr. Slater should be compensated NOT only by future income made from this image but also paid back on past purchases as well. PETA's being the ultimate prick here.

PETA doesn't know the difference between humans with souls & soul-less animals whom God gave man domino over, but also forbade cruel treatment of.

Any worthy 14 bit FF35mm cameras on the horizon?
I need to capture sutel tonal ranges of pastel colors in clouds for Hawaiian sun sets & rises. I'm using a 5D mk2 hand held or on a mono pod with mostly 24-105 f4L. I would like to get the new 24-70 f4 L or maybe F2.8 but Canon is holding back features so I'm thinking about switching to Nikon or Sony but I have 8 ef mostly L lens. Whats your advice wait for Canons next FF still holding back features or switch to a ______________ ?

This would be great for recording: cops, sales agreements, abuse at work (job security), lies, slander, safety violations etc! How long will it record? is it legal in CA? It is legal in AK.
It should be a constitutional right to record anything anyone tells you if your not an Atty. or working with secrets etc.
