Fixx: Now, can you install OSX to it?

OSX Is stuck. 3y no real change there. Windows 11 is coming next month and will be a game changer.

madeinlisboa: How humiliating the Mac results. I wonder if the base Asus can have 32gb

In the End the 11Th gen Intel or AMD 5XXX do the job.

M1 don't.

The M1x MacBook Pros are expected real soon now.

The M1X won't be a game-changer ARM have many restrictions. So be realistic and stop with the Apple Fan dreams. in the end even an Intel 11g cpu is still a better choice vs M1. everything works there no issues. M1 = Issues.
ARM CPUs are not mature enough will take at least 3y

The test is strange cause Blade 14 is supposed to be similar to the G14
Similar CPU, (Blade 14 GPU - Faster).

I assume that the export/import tests have more impact from RAM size and NVME speed.

Imager of: I have both laptops and the Apple M1 is much faster. So I’ll be sending the ASus back.

I Have M1 & 11800H Intel laptops. the M1 is junk. try to edit 6k movies with it.

eisenmeteor: Top specs Windows machine trying so hard to keep up and kill a little M1 machine? That's the dynamics between Apple and its competitors.

Wait til the September event.

the little M1 with 1TB - costs more vs this G14.

and sorry 256GB for creative work is a joke.

You can charge it with any Type-C small charger. The Brick is to get the Max power of the GPU. (The one that M1 don't have at all).

sandy b: I don't know if it's an M1 killer, I kind of doubt it, maybe some parity, but for me it's a desktop killer. I can play anything with it and editing is a breeze, and effortless to travel with.

Sure it is, can you play an AAA game in M1 ? ... nope you can't
so its a killer.

Any AMD 5XXX CPU will overkill the M1.

4sofnature: 50-100 f/3.4 should be pretty easy to achieve on full frame, despite being an uncommon focal length. For example, Tamron 35-150 f/2.8-4.

Yes with X2 the weight :-)

FujifilmXT3: Micro 4/3 is an absurdly puny sensor I'd never buy one

M43 is a great sensor I assume you never used it.

That's why I stopped buying their products.

Toni Genes: A crop camera + 300mm F/4.0 is a much better choice than an F/11 lens mounted on FF.
Better options in my opinion :
-Olympus OMD + 300mm F/4.0
-Nikon D500 + 300mm F/4.0 + eventually a TC 1.4x.

Agree.

TheTomx: MFT Oly 100-400 Images look better from this monster R5 photos + F11 Prime.

This lens will work very badly on an EOS R/RP .... (I have one and tried).
I tried also the R5. and decided, in the end, to go for EM1X with 100-400 ? why its better for wildlife. R5 with big lense you need a grip - so you go to 4000$, 100-500 another 2500$. so it's 6500$ vs 3500$... to get a similar results - at 800mm :-) (in 100-500 you will Crop; usually Cropping will never win a lense which was designed for a cropped body)

Sorry guys I use the R system, EF system, and MFT - For long-range MFT wins big time. When I go out to the wild - it's always OLY. I used 100-400 In EF after that 150-600 in EF and compared to OLY - they are so sux. the ability to shot Handheld without breaking my arm ... allows me to take better shots. so OLY on spec gives lower IQ, in reality, got better results with Oly. (Low light different story - but due that this lense is F11 - it don't see any advantage vs any other MFT lense or similar)

@rrc1967 As someone that has 5DSR (50MP) and played with cropping ... Cropping will never give me a similar result to what I get in the Olympus. the Olympus is always sharper and much faster. why the glass was designed for its sensor. also keep in mind that (the Equiv)... is not true for how fast the lense for M43. so F4 at M43 is still faster vs (FF F8).
