Ask for the images that weren't down sampled if you weren't the one did it. The images you post were 1600x1200, and it could cover up some of the softness.

Can someone recommend a reasonable priced light weight geared 3-way head that takes an arca swiss plate? I have a RR 2.5 lbs tripod, and the arca geared head I could find weights 2.2 1.6 lbs. ...

I shoot both Sony FF and Olympus MFT, mostly for birds, and it's fairly easy to switch between the two. I put the items I use often in MyMenus (similar locations for both). Sony has Fn Menu ...

I have pretty costly camera gears, but I'm still on iPhone 7; I guess we have different priorities :-D. If it's once in the lifetime thing and/or the cost of the rental is 5-10% of the total cost ...

A few people I know use BorrowLens and I heard LensRental is also pretty good. You can also search for local stores, but I found that the selections are pretty limited. A friend of mine just came ...

+1 on the feather detail. I usually shoot minus EV for white birds and might pull down additional in post.

If this is an one-off thing, you can look into renting a telephoto lens. A 100-400mm, $3K Z lens, you can rent it for less than $150 for 7 days (or less than $200 for 10). You can also look into ...

My macro gear used to be full frame, but I picked up an used e-m10.2 with Laowa 2:1 manual focus lens to replace it. At the time, that’s all I have for the MFT, plus a camera flush and a diffuser. ...

+1 on keeping both. The purposes of the two cameras are mutually exclusive, one for work as a backup and the other is for leisure/travel. I used to travel with my FF, but I enjoy my trips much ...

You mean the camera manufacturers (supply) had to line up with the consumer (demand) to survive. Personally, I moved from DSLR to MILC because what I gained from the MILC and not because I didn't ...

The 170Mps is maximum read and not write; otherwise, it could have, at a minimum, labeled as a V90. It does once you hit the buffer limit while you are still bursting. The bottleneck is on the card ...

I noticed that when compare lenses in Side-by-Side lens comparison, for MFT lens, the maximum magnifications, sometimes it’s listed as is, and sometimes it’s listed as 35mm film camera equivalent. ...

I shoot mostly birds with my OM-1, and I think you'll like the 1.3. When I purchased mine, it was 1.2, and I was very disappointed with the AF. With 1.3, it's much better, at least with birds.

Thanks for the inputs. I will not be getting the 2x TC. I already own the lens and the 1.4x, and I was hoping the 2x will allow me to leave my dedicated birding lens at home. I pixel peep, on ...

+1, especially if they are for birds only.

I've been looking into the Olympus 40-150/2.8 with the 2x TC, and I would like to hear from the people who own them on how they perform, IQ-wise. The main purpose is to minimize the number of ...

Try phone camera. Saw someone on my last birding trip who had the APO-TELEVID 65 with a 40x eye piece. VERY nice bird images and instant upload.

I used to get used from B&H, but their condition rating seems to be one grade off, compare to before. That being said, the return process is top notch. I only ordered from KEH once, and so far, I'm ...

I got it for a different lens, and it does have a tiny clamping screw - they have instruction video (under Videos). The installation was pretty straight forward.

Most of people I know get short 3D printed hood in the States. They used to run around $80USD just a year or so ago, but they are around $200 now. The thing is that I don't know anyone use a ...
