Yes! Have enjoyed photography from the age of 17. Started in the darkroom for students in Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India in 1968. Saw my first print and fell in love. Bought my first developing tank but used college darkroom.
My first darkroom with enlarger etc... only B/W only in 1974.
Upgraded to color processing in 1994. Got myself a Beseller 23CII colour head and enlarger.
Used it for everything.
Went digital only in 2006.
Used PS since ver 3.0
Use CS6 now but am also learning GIMP as I am too old to keep buying expensive Adobe products. A complete GIMP experience is what I am looking forward to. Don't have much time left with eyesight probably fading a bit with hypertension and diabetes... but hope to give it my best shot.
I have taught in the Madras University to Post graduate students in Journalism and mass communications. from 1994 to 1998. Also taught students of the Visual communications department of the Loyola College Madras. All as honorary visiting professor. A delightful experience. I have lots of very successful students!
A great day in my photographic journey.. working in a darkroom set up for a symposium on photography by the Madras School of Arts.. with Professor Emeritus Dr. Margaret Harker, Royal Photographic Society to display combo negative printing... an unforgettable week with a living legend.
Lots more to say...but enough. I am here not to teach but to learn.
