Am I the only one who look at the top picture and think the phone is really thick?

Yes. I want people to find me. Let me take a photo of my feet.

AbrasiveReducer: I don't work for any of these companies nor am I an endorser/explorer/ambassador who receives free goods or loans in exchange for unbiased positive reviews. But I note that for a one time payment of $75, you can get the equivalent of Photoshop, plus Illustrator plus InDesign. That's a little less than a 2 month subscription to Adobe all access. My publisher and printer have started sending tutorials on Affinity apps and there seem to be no significant issues with any of them.

$75? LOL I bought it at $25 in May 2020.

Quick maths - about 436589 pixels wide for a single hair of my cat.

Mariano Pacifico: The American government should put a stop to wristcam. Whatever happened to Google Eyeglasscam ?

If you still remember, person who wore Google Glass was called Glasshole.

This is the reason people blame Nikon for not opening the Z mount.

I bought the original Halide, don't remember the price, but vaguely more than a Starbucks coffee, which means it is the most expensive app I have ever bought. I (stupidly) thought, it must be real good to sell at that price, right? Then I never really used it, because the UI was so bad (innovative, as some review said). I ended up having it deleted from my iPhone.

I recently saw some ad/promo/review and installed it again (no need to pay, as I already own this app), and updated the app, and then found out it had become on subscription mode, and I could only use it for one more year free. Excellent. Deleted again.

It is actually Airpeek. They just misspelled it.

But isn't everything that leaves the ground has already been patented?

It reminds me of the spork thingy - can't use as a fork because not spiky enough, and can't use as a spoon because it leaks.

silentstorm: I highly recommend camera makers to evolve to using terms like Ultra Max Pro Ultimate Deluxe Super Titanium Extreme Version 2.0

LOL!

Since Pro is no longer very pro these days, you should add one more Pro at the end to indicate the real pro.

Foskito: Too much fuzz about the larger diameter mount, but what is the real benefit? Nikon lenses are as big as Canon’s fast L ones.

The size and weight and the flat front of the 14-30 f4 is also pretty impressive. Do you see any other one out there?

cosinaphile: eventually nothing of photography will actually be left

thats my feeling for the endgame of the computational garbage necessary to make pathetic cellphones images passable

we are n the era of the death of things

photography
books
magazines
music created by the artist
art
film
count just two or 3 generations ahead
and the childlike concerns , microaggression obsessions , fruit flavoured beer
food based of frito chips and other childlike garbage

its been said that average greek slave had more culture and learning in their pinky that a phd of our modern age in the entire being .... sounds about right

and the endgame of this train wreck of decent is within sight, the death of all current culture, by the death of a million cuts , to be replaced by the concerns of children:
food becomes snacks
photos become cartoons
iconic archetypes become comic book characters
reading becomes optional
life becomes a cellphone social construct

yea
and pineapple on pizza to go with fruit flavoured beer
and also forum comment to replace actual discussion

(unknown member): Does everyone in these comments actually wish for Nikon to cease to exist? Do people really think the camera market/photography world would be a better place if they disappeared? I don’t understand the logic of licking your lips at the prospect of a company failing?

Nikon should exist, as it makes good cameras and lenses. But some or most of its senior management people should not.

tkbslc: I hope this gets absolutely destroyed in the marketplace by alternative apps Halide and Moment, who both offer a reasonable one-time purchase price.

I also use Pro Camera. But it seems Pro Camera is kind of testing the water, as some feature (e.g. aspect correction) is not sold as add-in but requires subscription.

Nikon has no problem making the lens. They has made lenses for more than a century. Their problem is in making the case, which is causing the delay.
