Why did you choose to use the word "egregious", Hans? Seems a strange choice to me

On challenge Best Landscape With at Least One Wind Mill. (2 comments in total)

There are clearly quite a lot of wind Turbines on display here, as opposed to wind Mills; just checking this is OK before I look to submit? Paul

On challenge Random Items - Challenge 11 (5 comments in total)

Whilst I am really enjoying these "Random Items" challenges, I'm finding it quite hilarious the number of people who are submitting photos of images completely NOT related to any of the three selected items; or am I mis-reading the challenge rules.

Is this purely for the Alpha branded cameras or does NEX brand qualify also, please?

no shutter lag on mine , i like the camera button thing very very much. the 24mm has become a nice scouting camera for my landscape/street photography

Thanks for these. Unfortunately I'm still not convinced. They seem very clear towards the middle but soft / out of focus / smeared towards the edges. Hmmm?

Hi,
I was seriously thinking of moving from my Z1 Compact to the Z5 given the specs & the DXO review. However, like others on here I'm concerned about the IQ of the photos I've seen so far. Would it be possible to post some straight out of camera photos please, so that I could see "real world" examples. Paul

maxnimo: From what I can tell this Instagram is basically a site where you can dump your photos, and it only works with iPhone and Android phones. Is that about right? ... or am I missing something?

It always makes me smile when someone uses a phrase like "serious photographers ...." to criticise. It's like when soccer fans smash up a boozer & other fans say "they are not real fans, real fans wouldn't do this". Like the vast majority of snappers, with me it's a hobby - does that make me a "serious photographer" or not? I've only just started using Instagram & I'm doing so because it hosts the National Trust weekend photography challenge. What is your definition of a "serious photographer, please? Paul

On photo Sunken Boat in the Limericks, Illustrated! challenge (2 comments in total)

I thought the challenge sounded great when I first read it so I wanted to make a worthwhile attempt. As such I thought of the idea around the words "boat" & "afloat".
I knew of the sunken boat as it's on a local canal I often go cycling past, so that day I was playing around with the words in my head then on my way back from work stopped of at the canal & hey presto!
Thanks for your comment
