I hope Canon and Nikon will come up with a native sharp f/1.4 lens soon; it's been long overdue.

Making a lens "sharp" and making a lens with coma are different things. A 24 mm 1.4 will have coma which is fixable when it's wide open. If you over engineer a lens to be no coma at 1.4 than you will certainly take away from it's other properties.
This is fine though of course. I just think we should have the option for both.
