My only concern with the 70-200 on the 60d is that it would be a 105-320.  You are outdoors so it might not be an issue, but getting full body portraits will take some distance.
  • Does the diffraction limit apply here? Even at 40MP it is still using multiple images to create one composite and it isn't a single 40/80MP image being captured through the lens.

  • I agree that sensor size will be less critical over time. Apple is already starting to implement things like their portrait mode that create a blurred back ground.  As the technology improves ...
  • Just put a Sony A7Rii, 24-70 and 70-200 in one bag and a GH5, 12-35 and 35-100 in another bag and tell me which one is smaller and lighter.  There will be trade offs with both and it is up to the ...
  • I agree. I am considering FF only for low light capabilities where I may need 6400 - 12800 ISO in certain conditions starting next year.  I want to stick with APS-C or smaller though because as ...
  • I agree that it is over priced. They can use equivalency to sell the size of the lens compared to an equivalent FF lens, but to me the argument doesn't hold for justifying the cost. At the end...

  • Replied in E-M1II vs G9
If rolling shutter is an issue with the electronic shutter and you shoot 9 FPS with the mechanical then I don't think it will be an issue for the majority of shooters.
  • Point to point focusing? I think the comments on focus are more for tracking than point to point.

1800x slight over clock to 3.8 ghz, 16gb of ram running at 3200 mhz, have a m.2 drive, but all of my photos are on a HDD. Don't have the numbers, but was running a 2500k at 4.3 ghz and 8gb of RAM ...

I exported 243 images where the majority used Prime the other day and it took roughly 1 hour and 10 minutes.  Fulled sized JPEGS (100%) at 24MP.
  • I personally keep mine in Servo.  I have a bad habit of recomposing after getting focus in one shot which would result in soft images.  Having the camera refocus helps.  Down side is I have to ...

I saw the announcement today and with a $69.00 upgrade fee it is a no brainer for me.  I still have Ligthroom 6, but will not go to CC if I get a new camera that it doesn't support.  Will just ...
  • I have both DXO and Lightroom. I was holding off on upgrading DXO to 11 since rumor is 12 is right around the corner and Lightroom 7 will be available soon as well. This change has made my...

  • Thank you for the adviser.  My graphics card died a few days ago, but I replaced it and will hold off on further upgrades until after the holidays.  That is unless there is a killer sale.  ...
  • Canon sells a kit that contains the 50 1.8 STM and 10-18.   Saves you about $50.00 versus buying them separately.  The 10-18 is a fun lens and the 50 is good for portraits.   I also have the 24mm ...
  • I know this is an old post, but thank you.  Debating about going Ryzen or Intel and I think this helps answer the question.  I currently have both DXO and Lightroom and maybe I will just go DXO if ...
  • I ended up going Canon, but took a long look at the D500 a year ago.  I was considering the 200-500 and looked at the Tamron G2 and SIgmas as well.  The SIgma Sport is heaviest out of the group.  ...
  • Assuming that is a 1.4 on top of the 1.6 crop factor?
  • I had an EM10, kit lens and 75-300.  There would have been a gap between the kit lens and the 75-300, can't recall where the kit stopped.  It would have been in the 40s though so I stand corrected. ...
  • If you can get a great deal I would say go for it and treat the j5/10-100 as a good bridge camera. If you want something with room to expand in the future and is small I would look at the olympus ...
