About me:

I'm a retired Pro photographer from Scotland who used to specialise in weddings, events, portraits and tuition.

Used to do around 40 weddings a year, worked with newspapers and media outlets and with commercial clients including IBM, Scottish Power, Ramada Hotels and BSkyB. I used to run both group and 1to1 tuition for aspiring photographers with my own photo holiday company.

My personal work hangs in the Dean Gallery, National Gallery of Scotland, and I now enjoy shooting things that please me instead of other people!

On article Here's our wish list for the Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II (621 comments in total)

Given that fact that you probably already have one to try, or know someone who has, surely this is just "we told you so, look how clever we are" article? I know a guy who is supported by Sony and had the latest and greatest about 6 months before it came out, the same could be said of the D6, which pros were using for months before it came out.

Developer tablets? - why did they take so long to make an appearance! Great news, hope they go from strength to strength.

The lens doesn't interest me - I'm more amazed in the drum-playing ceremony official - never seen one of those in over 1000 weddings!

Why are you shooting samples with a 50mm f1.8D lens, when the G version is the newest and better of the 2 lenses? - surely a G lens example would have been more representative of current users?
