forzanopaolo: very nice piece of hw! It is in my mind, but I'm also thinking to an iphone7. I have a Sony 5100 and a Canon S100, but recently I started to make more picture with the phone, a Samsung of intermediate quality. Anyone as an experience? I appreciate.....

I'M LOOKING for more autofocus speed, quick response in shooting, and easiness to be be carried in pocket

Mike FL: Does it ever have a [auto] lens cap to protect the [not too small] lens' glass?

good question: it will have a bare glass or it will have an auto cap?

I would prefer that in graph like the equivalent focal length comparison the name of the camera be written at the end of each line on the right in opposition of the actual situation in which there is a table with color lines and camera name: it should be much more understandable at a glance! thanks!

On article Canon issues product advisory for PowerShot S100 (48 comments in total)

my S100 presented this lens defect, and on november 1, 2012 the lens remained completely out and the camera stopped. Canon Italia asked me 188€ to repair asserting that the camera fallen down and that they are sure of it, have proofs. I'm sure that the camera didn't have fallen down, and requested the "proofs" of that. No answer, no camera. It's 3 months! Could you send me the Canon email address in Jp so I can send a complain?

I appreciate!

On article Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1 preview extended (279 comments in total)

a very step forward! What is missing for my personal interest is either more "pocketable" or "an acceptable zoom".
Some comparison:
Leica III 135 x 70 x 30 (body alone) x 50/60 (with collapsed) mm; 640g;
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1: 113 x 65 x 70 mm; 482 g;
In 80 years .....the same "frame", much more tech, but the issue of portability is still present!
I believe that Canon S110 is a well tailored camera in terms of size/weigth/zoom/quality, a camera that you can always have with you, and this is a very important issue, a goal to reach.

I compared LX5, S100 and J1: this latter seem a lot better in resolution. In facto looking al file info J1 picture is at 300 pixel/" and the other two at 180 pixels/".
The total pixels in the three picture is almost the same. Where is the trick?

I appreciate this new model as philosophy, but I dare say that I would like to see also a lens that covers most common needs for an average user like me, a fast 9-50, may be a f2,8 at least. I do not like to carry lenses, I prefere only one token!
