Looks good, you have covered the topic well.

If you need to track BIF, I would also recommend the Nikon D500 & 200-500 lens. You can get used gear within your budget. The bridge cameras are going to struggle in low light and for BIF.

What do you shoot? BIF, portraits, landscapes?

All the new cameras will be loaded with features these days. You'll have to prioritize which features mean the most to you. The Olympus, being a M4/3 body, will use the smaller and lighter lenses - ...

Your style will evolve over time. Don't try to rush the process - you may be limiting yourself. I've never heard of anyone being criticized for lacking a style. Well-exposed photos that strike a ...

Shooting animals and nature is one thing, shooting birds in flight is another. Do you plan to do both? If so, you'll need a camera with great AF.

What brand of camera do you have?

The crop body 90D does give you 32.5 MP. Another one to consider is the full frame EOS R body, which has 30 MP.

I have used Photomatix and Lightroom and the results from Lightroom like more natural to me.

The AF on the original Sony A9 is excellent, so I would consider that one too.

Do you already have a set of EF-S lenses then? The 6Dii will only take the EF lenses, so that could be a consideration. What exactly are you trying to improve with the upgrade? How serious are you ...

Your requirements are not that specific, or specialized. Like another poster said, knowing your budget would help. If you are shooting indoors, I would recommend getting at least a flash and a ...

Oh yeah, the D500 and 200-500 combo is heavy. You might want to rent/borrow that setup if you are not used to a heavy telephoto lens to make sure it will work for you.

How big of a subject are you shooting? This will be done indoors, correct? Trying to get more info from you to see if you need extra lighting. Definitely get a good tripod. Forget the 500 dpi. ...

In my area, the retired guys who have $ to spend have migrated from the Nikon D500 (10fps) with the 200-500 lens to the Sony A9 (20fps) with the 200-600 lens. If you plan to shoot BIF, that's what ...

That is some pretty precise light painting, getting the underside of the mushroom without illuminating the stem. I wonder how many tries it took to get that result. Kudos to the creativity.

The same happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I had just refilled one of the feeders and was going to hang it. A hummer was perched next to the hook and when I approached, it hovered and didn't ...

I was in the Point Reyes Bear Valley visitor center and was talking to the rangers about bobcats. They said there was one that sometimes appeared around the visitor center. I didn't see it and ...

I would also consider the Olympus OM-D E-M1X and Panasonic Lumix G9. The Olympus has a feature where you can tell the AF to prioritize the left or right eye of the subject. The weather sealing is ...

If you bought the Nikon 200-500, I would expect you to get more in-focus shots than the Sigma. It's hard for someone else to say if you would miss the focal range between your kit lens and the ...
