RJD13: Apropos that this was taken a FRIDAY the 13th.
So many people with unfortunate circumstances.
boudini: I'm not detecting any color in this photo.
you are correct.
absolutely love the composition here.
amazing image. congrats!
lovely!
so nicely done!
I love this shot! Captures the feeling so well, and the composition is great!
the definition of macro is that the subject be 1:1 i.e. life-size reproduction. so many of these are not macro shots
really like this shot! nicely done
lots of great shots here! Really impressed!
yeah!!! old skool film and a great shot!
lovely intimate nature shot. Have you seen Eliot Porter's work? He pioneered this genre about 60-70 years ago.
nicely done landscape!
now that's what i'm talking about. That is an inspirational shot!
50mm on apsc is a bit tight. i think a 40mm - 60mm equivalent in full frame terms is the limit. i do have a short telephoto challenge coming up for that though - 75-135mm in FF terms. I'd love to see your shot in that challenge!
I like it!
this is a really brilliant shot. amazingly seen and composed. congratulation on a well-deserved win
Five Piece: Superb shot(s)! Can you tell us a bit about your processing? Thanks, and congratulations!
hi
thank you very much for looking at my photo. i didn't do too much post-processing. I took the shot on a staged area with black velvet backdrop and a lamp through a diffuser. This eliminated harsh shadows and large differences in gradation of black. I shot in raw
in lightroom, i increased the black point to drop what remained of the shadow detail into black, and then increased contrast, added sharpening. that's pretty much about it.
(unknown member): It looked like you're posing the camera on top of an iPad.
Turns out to be a print!
Congratulations.
thanks! now that would be sacrilege - putting an M3 on an iPad!
Dangerus: Brilliant composition ! Original !
Thank you so much!
