  • Soooo boring! All these cameras are already so old - most were already in last year's roundup. Geez things have stagnated in this market!

  • ...and it's available in PINK! What I would /really/ love to see is a 16-300 constant F2.8 with 1/1.7" sensor - now that would be a killer cam - but tough to get those optics I imagine. -Helmut
  • With the 19mm wide angle, I thought this camera might be well suited - but not sure if the noise would be too high... -Helmut
  • Not much to cover though!  Boy how times have changed...there's only a few dismal announcements this year - a few years ago there'd be 20 fold the number of new cams...
  • Well it's not actually a Casio lens - it's the same lens (and sensor) as used in the Olympus Stylus 1/1s - which is a pretty good lens I think.  Maybe a bit soft on the long end, but I'm really ...
  • First, let me just state clearly that I do realise this camera has a smaller sensor (premium compact 1/1.7") and a less bright lens (F2.7-6.4)...but having said that... If you're interested in wide ...
  • Well - firstly, I think that an aperture of f1.8-4.0 on a 19-95 (eq) lens for a 1/1.7" sensor would still keep the camera compact - it might then be roughly the size of the EX-10. I currently have ...
  • It's tempting.  If only Casio would have put a slightly brighter (and bigger) lens on this camera - perhaps a 1.8-4.0 that would have made it a sure thing for me.
  • Yep that's the problem when everyone and their dog gets camera sensors from one factory on a fault line!
  • Not rude at all - it's a valid question.  As you know, in photography everything is a trade-off.  Of course there are cameras that will do a better job for this type of shot - but have you seen ...
  • Thanks José! Yep - I generally use P mode for shots like this - I think it makes them look most natural. I've just set the saturation up by +1 -Helmut
  • Created photo thread Yellow Robin (finally!) EX-100
Taken from about 6m away.  These little guys don't stay in one spot very long, so I'm glad I managed a good shot after years of trying...
  • Well currently HDR is implemented (as you know) by combining multiple shots at different exposure settings - so that method will be nearly impossible to do in panorama mode. Yes perhaps with a ...
  • Wow they came out with another 1/1.7" sensor camera! Hats off for that!!!
  • Thanks guys - doesn't sound like it's something natively supported unfortunately.  Would be a handy feature though...thought if any manufacturer might do it, Casio might... Helmut
  • Created question thread EX100 PC Control
Hi - Realise this is probably a long shot, but I don't suppose anyone knows if the EX100 can be (pre)programmed to take a certain sequence of shots via a PC interface?  Would be a pretty neat ...
  • Even though I'm hoping that I'll be proven wrong - I highly doubt that Casio will come out with successors to the EX-10 & EX-100.  These cameras use the 1/1.7" (previously known as "premium ...
  • I have the EX100 but I think the interface is similar.  On mine I have assigned the up down scroll wheel buttons to select burst mode - stops having to dig through the menu... - Helmut
  • Yep they were all a hairy bunch :-) I only took shots the first few minutes - after that I was up dancing with everyone else!
  • Thanks Tim...yep great cam - unfortunately probably the last of its kind since I very much doubt that there will be any new 1/1.7" sensor cameras in future - now that everyone's naking 1" sensor ...
