I’m a hobby nature and macro amateur photographer; for me, photography gives me something interesting to do while I enjoy the outdoors. In the 80s and 90s I primarily shot with Nikon, learning a lot from nature photographer John Shaw. Switched to Canon in 2003 due to much faster focusing via USM and excellent early IS.
