DxO rating of D5 will be interesting. I bet it will be lower than D3300 =))

Canon did several right things with the EOS 80D. I'm feeling it will get the gold award :-)

toni2: Better DR -> checked.
EVF -> perhaps 90d?

Sony A6300 or Fujifilm X-Pro2
DR -> checked
EVF -> checked
So why do you have to wait?

It seems Canon has finally released a camera that got DPR impressed. Hopefully they don't disappoint about its DR things when they're doing the review.

User9362470513: As usual DPR ignores the Sigma DP range of cameras when making comparisons. You could buy a Sigma DP 2 Quattro, have better image quality, and save thousands of pounds too.

Seriously, go to the studio scene, add the Sigma Quattro DP2 and look at the paint tubes in the corner, or the stencil or anything - the Sigma blows it out of the water. But as I say, Sigma is ignored on this website even though it has the best sensor IQ.

Don't get me wrong, I really love the output at base ISO from Sigma DP but I don't buy a camera to only shoot at base ISO.
Your mileage may vary.

I'll generally agree with you when Sigma has fixed the following:
- ISO 3200 usable.
- More responsive
- Usable software for PP, the current one is damn slow.

lightmatters: It will be a great camera but I just don't get the price. I could buy A7R II and 28mm f/2 with just 3200$.

Raist3d: Yes. A7R II and 28mm f/2 totally cost 3140$ here in Vietnam.
I usually buy a protection filter for the new lens so I could end up spending 3200$ :-) (60$ for the filter).

Raist3d: In Vietnam, the price is approximately 3140$ after VND to USD conversion. It's not gray market item anyway.

It's called SR (Shake Reduction) actually.
WR is Weather Resistance.

No, Pentax DSLR has IBIS.

/sarcasm on
Pentax doesn't know mirrorless is the future. See what Sony is doing?
/sarcasm off

lightmatters: I've still seen several talks about DR by just looking at the studio shots.
Interesting! Could someone tell me how to make the DR judgement out of those shots?
IIRC, 5DS/5DS R have low read noise said by some Canon guy in an interview which is promising. What I care about is low noise in the shadow when pushing the shadow.

Thank you, Rishi

Totally agree. Retrospective series is the best offer by Think Tank, IMO. I really like my Retrospective 7 :-)

Being 8-year older than Tamron 15-30, Nikon 14-24 still holds up well. Really a good optical design by Nikon.
